Love and Romance

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I thought I would share with you my Valentine's card for my husband today.

On Saturday we will have been married 17 years! Yes, we got married the day before Valentine's day so an expensive month as both my parents have birthdays too this month.

I have used 2 CD's from Kraftyhands for this card.


Step by Step

1. A5 white Landscape card from Anna Marie Designs.
2. First layer is red pearlescent card, I have matted and layered paper printed from Romantique collection CD, wrapped cream organza ribbon around before adhering to card base.
3. I printed the image from Femme Fatale CD and cut out using XCut heart die then matted and layered onto red pearlescent heart.
4. I cut out the 2 tickets which read "Love and Romance" and tucked them under the heart.
5. To finish off I added a double bow with a heart cabachon in the centre. Pearl flourish and pearl floral corners.

A Groovi Birthday

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Shrove Tuesday and that means pancakes for tea, mmh yummy!

A card made today using Groovi Boards by Clarity.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 square white card which I have matted and layered green mirri card.
2. Using the Groovi board and parchment created the design using the butterfly and leaves boards.
3. I created a border around the image using a Groovi plate the cut out, I then brayered the back with DI bundled sage. I then used Spectrum Noir Pencils to colour the leaves and butterfly.
4. I attached the parchment to embossed green card with brads.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment and Wild Orchid Flowers and pearl spray.

Craft Canvas

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Did you have a good weekend?

I had a good one, out on Saturday and spent yesterday chillin out.

A small canvas to share with you today.


Step by Step

1. 17 x 13 canvas which I stencilled an array of stencils with modelling paste
2. I then gave it a coat of black Pebeo Gesso.
3. Arranged the word "Craft" and embellishments on the canvas then painted again with black acrylic paint.
4. I then dry brushed Imagination Crafts Starlight blue paint over the embellishments.
5. To finish off I dry brushed the word, hands and crown with Imagination Crafts Starlight Antique Gold.

Man about Town

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Gill and I had a blast yesterday at the Craft Show in Manchester.

It was nice to catch up with a few of my crafting buddies too.

A vintage male card to share with you today, I am keeping up so far with male cards which are always needed as we have a lot of male relatives.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 red scalloped card.
2. Matted and layered brown textured card and paper from Man about Town paper pack.
3. Printed off the image and distressed with DI brushed corduroy, adhered to card with foam pads.
4. To finish off I added the sentiment which has been distressed and some twine with Eiffel tower charm.

I want to ride my bicycle...

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Off to Manchester for the craft show with Gill today, a girly day out with crafting goodies thrown in.
A perfect day.

A new card to share today.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 green square scalloped card which I have created an easel card.
2. On the base of the card I have matted and layered card from stash wrapping green ribbon around and adding the sentiment as the stopper.
3. Using SB Grande scalloped circle die cut out pink card, matted and layered the topper on top and adhered to the easel front.
4. I added gems all around the scallops of the topper and added the butterfly.
5. To finish off I added the Wild Orchid Roses to the two corners.

You're Simply the Best

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Today I am sharing my first published card that has appeared in February's Issue of Card Making magazine.

I was messaged on Facebook by Sally Jarvis from the magazine and chosen to appear in the Handpicked feature.





Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 square scalloped card.
2. Mat and layered navy blue card and pearlescent blue card before adhering too card wrap navy ribbon around both layers.
3. Print of the image which is called Poppies by Mitzi Suto-Wuiff and coloured with Copics
4. Make a double bow and add pearl cabochon to the centre of the bow.
5. To finish off add the sentiment which I have distressed with DI chipped sapphire.

Special Birthday Wishes

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Lots to get done today after my week away, washing, ironing etc.

I hope you all have a good day and going to spend today catching up with what creations you have been doing while I was away.

A quick simple card to share using Hunkydory Flight of the Butterflies card kit.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 cream square card, which I have created a twisted easel card.
2. On the base I have cut down one of the inserts and distressed the edges with DI tea dye.
3. I used one of the sentiments as a stopper for the easel to stand proud.
4. I distressed with tea dye a piece of cream card the taking a piece of card from the kit wrapped cream ribbon around and matted and layered onto card.
5. The butterfly topper has been adhered to card with foam pads.
6. To finish off I added brown pearl gems to the 4 corners and pearl butterfly to centre of bow.
