Dude Time Doodles December New Release Blog Hop

Hello All

Today over at Dude Time Doodles it is the last day of the month and of course that means new releases from Bonibleaux Designs.

If you have arrived here from CG our new dudette!  Welcome CG and look forward to working with you!   If you have come here to have a look see then why not start at Dude Time Doodles and have fun hopping on this fabulous hop.

I chose Abner Abominable, he just looked so appealing and I wanted to have a little play!

Now as you know tomorrow is the first of December so it is the count down to Christmas.  Abner has awoken to the excitment he can feel in the air and has come down from the mountains to see what is happening and what all the excitement is about!  He learns that Christmas is nearly here and is now getting excited himself.  We will see if Santa leaves him some goodies!

I have used an 8 x  8 white pearlescent card for the base.  I have taken a piece of watercolour card and distressed the top half using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire to represent a night sky.  The bottom of the card I have painted using Pebeo acrylic paints. The trees I have stamped are from Sheena Douglass' Paint Fusion Christmas Tree set.  I have painted the trees using Pebeo paints and highlighted with glitter.  I have splattered water onto the night sky and dampened them down using Kitchen Roll to give the effect of snow falling.  The moon is a circle cut out using my Spellbinder dies and I have distressed this with the chipped sapphire too.  I have added dots of glitter to the sky and the moon also.

Abner I have partly coloured in using my watercolour pencils and then to give him some dimension added white Flower soft.  I have fuzzy cut him out and placed him on the card with some Pinflair Glue Gel.  I have added a blue star gem to the tree.  The sentiment reads "T'is the Season to be..."
As with Abner Abominable you can never be too sure whether he will be jolly or not!

Now it is time to hop on over to Anne to see her fabulous creation for the December New Release Blog Hop.  One of us is the mystery hostess so please remember to leave a comment as at the end of the hop one lucky person will win a free Dude Time Doodle image.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - Masculine Holiday Card (Sponsor DT)
Craft your Passion Challenge - Tis the Season
Lexis Creations - One for the Lads
Ginger Loft - Winter or Christmas
Fairy Tale - Christmas
Rainbow Lady's - Cards for Men

Many thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you again real soon.

Hugs

I love Abner, he is such fun. Your journey to papercrafting is much the same as mine, from knitting and crochet (which I taught myself from a book) to playing with gorgeous papers and card.
