Creations by Gill Challenge

I have again used my Grand Calibur to cut out the layered shapes scalloped and circular.  I have stamped on the scalloped layer nappy pins and embossed them in powder blue and then used stained glass distress ink to colour the edges.  On the circle layer I have stamped "brand new" and "special little person" and embossed in poweder blue then using the same coloured distress ink on the first layer distress around the circle.  I have added on of the Moorheads decoupage to the centre so this would be ideal for a baby card.  The card candy, ribbon, little feet and dummy are all from my stash.

Handbag Card

I have made this card using MSC Encyclopaedia of Card & Papercraft Templates & Fold CD. I used supersmooth card to print onto and glittered using Crafter's Companion Iridescent spray. The topper has also been sprayed and placed on the bottom of the handbag. The glass on the card has had a few peel off circles added in silver to give the illusion of bubbles. The tall cocktail glass is from my stash as is the ribbon which I have slightly curled. I have attached a circular velcro fastener to the flap.

Crafty Calendar Challenge

I have entered this card into the Crafty Calendar Challenge for June "anything with Wings".  I made this card using a free download from My Craft Studio Club.  I used copper coloured pearlescent card as the base and backing paper from the download.  I decoupaged the fairy, she is called the shopping fairy.  I love to shop and especially love fairies, so this was right up my street.  I have added bronze ribbon and some gems and glittered the stars.

Happy Crafty Monday

Creations by Gill Challenge

This card was made using spellbinder dies, cuttlebug embossing folders, Core'dination white wash card and pearlised card stock from my stash.

The circles were cut out and embossed then sanded down and then I used chipped sappire distress ink to highlight the embossed area.  The white layer was stamped with a written piece of text from my stamp stash.  The topper has been made using watercolour card Sheena Douglass' little bit sketchy daisy stamp and sentiment and the Big and Juice waterfall inkpad was used to colour them in.  I have used WOW embossing powder for the sentiment.  To complete the card I have used card candy, ribbon and flower from my stash.  I will be entering this into Creations by Gill M Blog challenge.

Divas by Design

Good afternoon all, I am entering this Tulip Clock done with my favourite paint fusion technique into Divas by Design, anything but a card.

I made the clock using a square piece of mount board, first painting a darker base colour, then PVA and finally magnolia paint which has crackled.  I then stamped the tulips and leaves and paint fusioned them.

I hope you like my design as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you leave a comment

WOYWW

Good morning all, on my workstation this morning is a card I am putting together from the My Craft Studio CD Click Print and Go Element Sheets.  Every week I try to do something different and this week is my week for playing with my CD Roms.  My Craft Studio has now started a forum/club for all us card makers where you can go and "chat" with other like minded people.  If you are interested in joining the club go to www.mycraftstudio.com where you will get lots of inspiration.

Back to the card I love fairies and this card shows a fairy in a snow scene which I just love.  This is for no-one in particular but I do like to have some handy for that "just in case moment".  In the background are another 2 completed cards.  There are buttons and gems still to go on the card and will post it later in the week.

Last weeks WOYWW card is now on my blog if you are interested in seeing the completed parchment.  It turned out really well.

Happy crafting Wednesday Everyone

Completed Card from WOYWW

Part of this card was featured in WOYWW last Wednesday and I thought you might like to see the finished product.

I am in a card swap club with Creations by Gill M and this is my card for June which I have now sent off.

The Card is made using an 8 inch square card with black cardstock and brodraise Anglaise down the right hand side.  I printed off the images from MCS CD Rom and decoupaged the flowers this is parchment which I love doing.  The dragonfly is a peel off and the greeting is in pink as the swap was monochrom with a hint of another colour.  I have used pale pink brads to attach the parchment to white card.

Happy Crafting everyone

By the Cute & Girly Challenge

For this card I have used My Craft Studio Papercraft library, Volume 6 Men-y Happy Returns element 6 from the Stationery file.  I took a piece of pearlescent green card and using the Hougie Board scored at 10 cm from the left and 5 cm in from the right and folded the card.  I mat and layered Popcorn the Bear decoupage kit onto a piece of white card stock and distressed the white areas with Forest Moss and placed it onto the card half way.  The backing paper is from the element sheet and I cut out the plant pots from this sheet too.  The bee is from my stash as is the watering can which I have distressed with Forest Moss to give it a well worn look.  I have entered this into By the Cute & Girly Challenge - Garden.

Crafter's Companion Challenge 13

I adore this little bear and have used him in quite a lot of cards for family and friends.  I bought this decoupage kit from Crafter's Companion and to me this epitomises summer "Gone Fishing".  I used My Craft Studio to add "Gone Fishing to one of the border ribbons on Popcorn Bear CD (Men).  The frog and dragonfly are wooden embellishments which I have coloured using Sakura pens.  The fish is from My Craft Studio shapes which I cut from the backing paper and changed the colour to match the fish on the backing paper.

Adorable Popcorn the Bear

I just adore this bear, really enjoyed making this card.  I used a green base card, pearlised pale pink and a lovely pink and cream card from my stash.  I used my new cutting machine eCraft by craft well to cut out the layers and the fancy swirl.  LOVE THIS MACHINE!  The butterflies I have cut out using one of my favourite Martha Stewart punches.  The flowers, ribbon and gems are from my stash too.  Popcorn is a die cut kit that I bought from Crafter's Companion.  I am going to enter this card into the following Blog Challenges:

Divas by Design - floral
