Hello my craft friends and followers

It is that time again for our next challenge over at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  The theme for this challenge is Bows, Buttons and Lace.  I have used the digi "off to the ball" by Artist Heather Valentin who does the most amazing digis and who is a well known artist for many years.  You can purchase this digi here.  There are prizes to be won and these digis are just lovely.  We look forward to seeing your designs with the images.  Don't forget there are freebies available on the blog Addicted-to-Stamps.

Recipe & Method

1.  Again I have used an 8 x 8 pearlescent white card.
2.  The first layer is card from my stash which is green and lovely white daisies on.  I then used a lace white doily for the second layer.
3.  The image has been printed off onto Neenah card and coloured in using watercolour pencils, Sakura glitter pen and Cosmic paints have been used for the carriage.
4.  I then cut out the topper using Spellbinder scalloped circle.  I then distressed the edges using Dew Drops Versamagic Aloe Vera.
5.  The corners have been cut out using Spellbinder edge die in gold pearlescent card.  I attached a green button to each corner.  The bow is made with lace ribbon.

Splish Splash

Good Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers

I hope you are all basking in the sunshine, looks like the weather is going to change from tomorrow :(  Well I have been for my pamper session and I am feeling very relaxed.  I have a busy afternoon and evening getting a birthday card made for a special friend and an order too.  I made this card last night and intended to post it this morning but time has just run away from me and I wanted to post about an Award I had received from Karen.

Recipe & Method

1.  The base card is from Kanban Crafts.  The first layer is from Tim Holtz Distress Collection of Core-dinations in weathered wood.  I have cut this out using one of my Spellbinder dies and then using Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Patchwork I have run it through my Grande Calibur.  I then took a sanding block and distressed the card.
2.  I stamped "Tommy splashing in Puddle" using Stazon ink onto Supersmooth card.  This stamps is one of Elisabeth Bell's Stamps which I won over at Elphine House, Australia.  I coloured Tommy in with my watercolour pencils and Spectrum Noir pens.
3.  Using Ranger's glossy accents I highlighted the puddle.
4.  To finish off the card I attached 4 buttons which I threaded raffia through before attaching to card with Pinflair.  The little duck was in my stash and he looks real cute by the puddle.

Chic Fleur

Good afternoon my crafty friends and followers

I hope the weather is good where you are.  Here in Warrington it is glorious, clear blue skies and getting warmer compared to a chilly start.  I hope to go and sit in the garden for a couple of hours this afternoon, but we will see as I have a couple of orders to get done.

Today my card is made using kits from Kraftyhands, they do some really lovely paper kits as well as CD's too.  I bought a couple at the NEC and as I hadn't crafted for nearly a week I started using the Fleur Francais in combination with the Chic Boutique Toppers.

Recipe & Method

1.  Base card is made from Centura Pearlescent A3 Card from Crafter's Companion which I have scored and made a 6 x 6 card.
2.  The first layer is from the Fleur Francais paper kit from Kraftyhands which I have attached pink lace before layering onto the base card.
3.  From the Chic Boutique Toppers I have taken 2 toppers with the same design, trimmed around the first topper and distressed with Dew Drops Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid around the edges then layered down with foam pads.  The second topper I have cut out the perfume bottle and inked the edges with the above metioned ink pad and attached this to the topper using Pinflair gel.  I then used glossy accents over the perfume bottle.
4.  I have attached pearl swirls, some roses with a spray of pink gems from my stash.

Fairy & Butterflies

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

Today I am going to the NEC for the show and will be assisting Kay Rutter (Hougie Crafts) on E18.  We will be setting up this afternoon ready for the show to begin on Thursday.  If you are going please come and say hello it would be lovely to meet you.

I made this card using Elisabeth Bell's fairy stamps which is just beautiful.  I have used her before and I just love her.

Recipe & Method

1.  The base card is an A4 card which I have scored to make an A5 landscape card.  This card is from Hunkydory and has some beautiful gold swirls and butterflies.
2.  I stamped the image onto Supersmooth card and cut out using Spellbinder Fleur-de-lis Rectangle die.  I coloured the image in using watercolour pencils.  I have glittered her wings and used Spectrum Noir pen to colour around the lily pad.  I then distressed the edges with Dew Drops Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid and then threaded ribbon around the decorative edge.
3.  I used Spellbinder die to cut out the border which I again distressed using the above ink pad.  I then added some gems to the edges.
4.  I cut out the butterflies using Martha Stewart Butterfly punch on Pearlescent pink paper and pale pink patterned paper and alternated them as shown.  Down the centre of each butterfly I have added pale pink pearl gems.  On the right hand corner I have added white pearls in a swirl.

First DT projects for Ali-Crafts

Hello my crafty friends and followers

Well I had a fabulous weekend working with the lovely Kay at Harrogate and met a lot of old friends and new friends too.

Here is one of my first set of projects for Ali-Craft as part of their design team.  You can also visit their Facebook page here.  As a lot of you know I have an eclectic style to my crafting and I like anything and everything about papercrafting but also I have now moved into decorating frames etc.  This is my first ever project combining my love of grunge with some gorgeous papers and inks also my embellishments are ever increasing from the usual too.

My first project I have used the house shaped shelving system which you can buy from Ali-Crafts at the Birmingham NEC HobbyCrafts show this coming weekend.  Look out for Ali and Iain who will be on Stand G01.  I have also used the new Tim Holtz Attic Treasures stamps and Graphic 45 12 x 12 papers which are simply fabulous to work with.

I have painted the house in white emulsion and then distressed the outside with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Stormy Sky. On the inside I have used a combination of Tea Dye and Wild Honey by stamping pad onto craft mat and a water brush to cover the area. I had a small canvas which I also painted and then stamped cotton reel toppers all over the frame using Black Stazon, I cut out this topper from the Graphic45 Eclectic Emporium paper and run around the edges using my scissors to give a distressed look and distressed the edges with Tea Dye. I attached the frame to the house using Pinflair gel. I added strong double sided tape to the top and some lace which I distressed a little with Old Paper Distress Ink.

The cotton reels were in my craft stash which I wound different embroidery threads around. I then stamped the cotton reel toppers from the stamp kit and added to both ends of each of the cotton reels.

When my father-in-law passed away I inherited his button box.  There were a lot of lovely goodies in this box as my mother-in-law was always sewing and I searched the box and found old button, and old sew needles book, an old tape measure, elastic, buckle, seamstress chalk, cotton and a thimble.

Before adding all the gorgeous finds I used some of the stamps and stamped in a couple of the compartments using Tea Dye and from the above mentioned 12 x 12 sheet I stamped the image using Stazon onto the card then cut out and distressed the edges with my scissors.  I then distressed the edges with Tea Dye ink pad.  I attached this to the edge of the house.

This is a close up shot of the bottom of the house.  All the embellishments have been attached with Pinflair gel.  Don’t you just love the look of these buttons?  The needle pocket is just a brilliant find; I was so excited as it fitted in with this project so well.  Well the last photograph is the finished article.

The next 3 projects are cards which I have used the following, Graphic45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection, Steampunk and Butterfly Speccies; Debutante Collection Eclectic Emporium and Mechanical Mind; Stazon; Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tea Dye and Old Paper; Versamark; WOW embossing powder; Spellbinders Donna-Salazar Sprightly Sprockets; an assortment of charms; ribbon; hat pins; wool from stash and tag.

Thank you for stopping by today and for all your continued support

Good Morning my crafty friends and followers

Today Gill over at Creations by Gill M is hosting the My Fair Lady blog hop.  If you have arrived here from Becky then you are going in the right direction.  I love this film with Audrey Hepburn, what a fantastic part she played as Eliza Dolittle and some fabulous songs came out of this.  I have made 3 cards for this hop but I could have made more if I had had the time.  I have used Debbie Moore's One Fine Lady CD collection and was really spoilt for choice.  I hope you enjoy seeing my cards.

The only embellishments I have added to these three cards are ribbon, flowers, a leaf, feather, and gold mirri card.

Some happy news for me too today, my second grandchild is going to be a little girl and my hubby and I are thrilled to bits as we only had boys so it is a lovely change to get more girly clothes etc.  Alice is doing well and the new baby is healthy too from what the Doctor's said when Holly had her scan today.

Recipe & Method

1.  Base card is from Kanban Crafts which is A5 and white.  The base layer is from K & Co from my stash.
2.  Using scraps from my box I have used a piece of Kanban card and using Spellbinder's lables twenty I have cut out the second matting layer.  I have also used the same die for cutting out the topper too.  For the swirls I have used the same piece of card and used Floral Flourishes from Joy Crafts
3.  I stamped the image using Momento ink pad and coloured Carrie in with watercolour pencils.  The grass and the water in the pond I have used Spectrum Noirs.  Using my quickie clue pen I have glittered her wings.

Steampunk Beauty

Afternoon friends and followers

I can't believe where today has gone!!! I did plan to post this earlier but so engrossed in other DT work that before I knew it it was nearly 5.00 pm.  Following all the amazing comments you left me from yesterday's post showing my steampunk samples for Jem's Designs I have made this card especially for YOU my lovely friends and followers.  My style in card making is so eclectic which is just fun as I never know what each day will bring in my crafting.  I hope you all enjoy seeing today's post and enjoy the rest of your day no matter what you are doing.

Recipe & Method

1.  Base card is 8 x 8 square.  The first layer is a piece of card from my stash which is embossed which I have sanded of the sheen and distressed with Adirondak mushroom.
2.  From the steampunk pack of paper which you can purchase from Jem's Designs.  I cut out the girl in the cog and the hat.
3.  Using Spellbinder Sprightly Sprocket dies by Donna Salazar I cut out the six dies using matt silver pearlescent card which I then distressed using Adirondak mushroom.
4.  I arranged the largest cog at the top and then added the steampunk sentiment down with a brad.  I then positioned the girl undernearth this and used two more of the cogs and added buttons to the centre.  After cutting out the hat I cut into the brim and added black lace and a white feather then placed onto the card.  The rest of the cogs I arranged on the card and added another button and brad to them.  To finish off the hat I added grey gems and another button.

This card is my way of saying a very big thank you to all your lovely comments and to also thank Susan, Linda and Sheenagh for giving me the opportunity of working with such fantastic materials.
