Creative Expressions DT Call

Good Evening Crafty Friends and Followers

Another busy day here in my crafty piece of heaven.  I have had a good play today with some of my new products making backgrounds and using the Flitter Glu by IndigoBlu.  I made 5 cards today and could have made more but this card I had to get on my blog before 5.00 pm which was the deadline for the DT call over at Creative Expressions.   Well I am late and have missed the deadline, I could scream but I am going to send them it anyway.  To those of you who have entered a lot of you are my blogging friends I wish you good luck.

Anyway here is my card, as you know the theme was texture and I have used gilding flakes and embossing powders.

Recipe & Method

1.  I have used an 8 x 8 gold pearlescent card for the base.
2.  The topper has been cut out using Spellbinder Decorative Labels 8 which I have then stamped IndigoBlu "Ella Bella" with Flitter glu and used gilding flakes.  I then used PanPasels in Orange and dusted lightly around the image and darker on the outside to highlight the decorative frame.
3.  The first layer was cut out using Spellbinder Labels 1 which I have stamped the image using Perfect Medium and WOW Gold embossing Powder.  I then masked part of the stamp and stamped around the edges of the layer with Perfect Medium and WOW Embossing powder.  Then using Pan Pastels I have dusted over the whole of the card with Yellow Ochre Tint and Hansa Yellow Shade.
4.  Using a buttefly stamp that came free with my Craft Stamper magazine I stamped 3 butteflies onto acetate embossed them using WOW Embossing Powder in Gold, Easter Sparkle and Blue Blast.
5.  To finish off my card I have made a bow using some cream lace and then added 3 stick pins.

This photograph is a close up of the stamp "Ella Bella".

As messy as I get

Evening all,

As you know KayRutter came to ours for tea last week and commented on her facebook page that she had NEVER seen such a tidy craft room.  Well today I have been busy working and here are a few photo's of my room as it looks while I am in the crafting zone.  I know it doesn't look like a whirlwind has hit it but to me this is messy!!!

Pink and Black Steampunk

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Followers

Time flies when you are having fun.  I hope you are all having a good day and getting some crafting done.

This afternoon's card is one I have made for a few blog challenges.  As you all know I have quite an eclectic style of crafting and I do so love my Steampunk.  The stamp is one I bought at the weekend from Oyster Stamps it is a Stampendous stamp called Halloween Magic.

Recipe & Method

1.  Base card is pink pearlescent centura card from Crafter'sCompanion scored to make an A5 card.
2.  Using Kaiser Craft Tic Toc stamp I inked the base of the card using Memento Black Tuxedo ink.
3.  Using Cuttlebug cog embossing folder I embossed black card and then attached a cog with a brad and then layered onto the base card.
4.  The pink pearlescent card I cut out using Spellbinder Labels 25 and placed over the black card.
5.  I stamped the image onto Stampography card and coloured with my Copics.  I attached a feather to the top of the mask and used glossy accents on her eyes and the clock.
6.  To finish off I added a clock charm and a few gum metal pearl gems.

Kitty Love

Good Evening Crafty Friends and Followers

I arrived home safely from Leeds and 10 minutes after I walked through the door the heavens opened and we had hail and rain with thunder and lightening.  Not long now until September and then the season will change to Autumn.  My favourite time of year as I just love the beautiful colours that nature throws at us and the leaves turning to their autumn colours before falling off the trees.

Tonights card is made using another of the Hobby House Topper and this for me is my favourite as it has a little kitty clinging to the little girl, aw bless.  I wish mine was like this, I am lucky if she sits next to me never mind clinging.  Hopefully as she grows older she will want her mummy more.  LOL xxx

Recipe & Method

1.  6 x 6 white card base which I have rounded the corners with my X-Cut corner punch.
2.  First layer is pearlescent paper from Crafts House Winter Wonderland paper make.   I have used the corner punch on the corners and wrapped iridescent ribbon around before attaching to card base.
3.  I have taken a doily and inked using Dew Drop Brilliance Orchid.
4.  The Topper which is from Hobby House Spring Bringer has been inked around the edges using Dew Drop VersaMagic Aloe Vera and placed over the doily.
5.  I have attached a couple of flower buttons and bound 3 rosebuds with ribbon and a bow and attached to the card.

2.  Purple card stock which I have cut out using Spellbinder scalloped circle.
3.  The topper is from Hobby House which I have inked the edges with Dew Drops Brilliance Orchid.

Christmas Reindeer

Good morning crafty friends and followers

I hope you all had a great Bank Holiday weekend.  The weather in Warrington was atrocious, it rained all weekend.  Travelling to Leeds this morning the sun was in my face which bounced off the wet roads and was awful.  I made good time getting here and now working with the lads here at Kraftyhands HQ.

My card today features a topper from the Kraftyhands Christmas die cut range.

Recipe & Method

1.  Dark brown 8 x 8 base card which I have matted a piece of gold linen look card.  I have attached a self adhesive ribbon down the right hand side which is white with gold snowflakes.
2.  The bauble backing paper is from my stash on to this I have matted a doily which has first been sprayed gold using Crafter's Companion Spray and Sparkle.
3.  The topper is die cut and I have inked the edges using Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink.  I have also added a few dots of glitter.
4.  I have added the sentiment which is a peel off and added glitter around the sentiment.  The holly leaves are also from my stash.

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Followers

After a long think about what is happening in my crafty world right now I have taken the decision to step down from Jem's Designs.  I have really enjoyed working with Sue and Linda and wish them continued success for the future.  The design team have been great to work with and I wish them good luck in their crafting too.

I am going on holiday in a 2 weeks and will be having a total break from crafting during that time.  I have so many thoughts and ideas that I think my little grey cells need a break and I hope to come back refreshed and raring to go.

Here are some of the samples that I have made for Sue and Linda since I joined them in March.

Mitzi Sato-Wiuff

Good Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers

Today is my day to showcase a design using a digi from Scrapbook Stamp Society.  As today is the Artist Mitzi Sato-Wiuff's turn I decided to use another of her digi's for today along with a couple of other.  I have a few of Mitzi's digi's that I haven't got around to colouring but I am hoping to rectify this over the coming months.

You can visit Scrapbook Stamp Society and see all the amazing digi's that Mitzi has drawn.  There are some absolute stunners there.  You can also check out her facebook page here.

Kay's Workshop

Good morning to all my crafty friends and followers

Well it's Friday already and time is marching on.  Yesterday I was with Kay Rutter (Hougie Crafts) at Lowton for her workshop.  We had 30 lovely ladies who had travelled from around  the North West for a fun filled day of crafting with Kay.  Now if you have ever been to a craft workshop with Kay you know you need to make sure you have your giggle knickers on and boy did we need them yesterday.

It was a lovely day and we had such fun.  The ladies were fun to be with and they had a really enjoyable day.  They made 4 projects and were given a foundation lesson on using the Hougie Board as some of the lovely ladies hadn't used one before.

After a hectic day Kay came back to my home for tea which my lovely hubby had cooked for us.  Kay then spent a couple of hours in my craft room where even though we didn't craft we had a good giggle and she was shocked at how organised my room was and how I craft. :)

Hubby took a photo of Kay and I in my craft room.  My first celebrity in my room and I just had to have a photo now didn't I!  It would have been so rude not to.
