Well today is the day a brand new blog challenge opens it's doors for the first time. Sparkle and Glitter is the new blog on the block and the host of the blog is Rick St Dennis who does the most awesome digi's which you can purchase at his Etsy shop here.
For our first challenge the theme is Anything Goes with Sparkle and Glitter, so get those gems and glitter out crafters and show us some real razzle dazzle creations.
There will be one winner chosen at random for one of the prizes. In addition to this, there will be a top 3 chosen by the EDT and the awards don’t stop there. There will be Rick St Dennis, himself, choosing one lucky person to be awarded the coveted badge “Rick’s Pick” and associated prize.
For our first ever challenge, we are also honoured by having the sponsorship of the lovely Teri of
Teri has generously offered to donate the choice of 4 images from her shop to the prize winner.
Now Rick sent me a couple of his digi's for this challenge and I chose Chorus Cutie Faye. Now Faye is a bit of a glamour puss and there is nothing she wouldn't use to make her be noticed. So here she is in all her glory!!
As you can see I have used mirri, pearlescent and glitter card. She just screamed to be coloured in Purple and I had added glamour dust to her dress and head wear. Of course with her being a chorus cutie she had to have her name in "light" which are clear gems. The purple feather was in my stash and of course she had to have this as well for her first appearance on my blog.
This is a close up of Faye, I have inked around her using Dew Drop's Brilliance Pearlescent Lavendar which really makes her "pop".
As we are sponsored by the lovely Teri from Delicious Doodles I have used her Peacock Fairy and blinged her up too.
I have used Mica powder's to colour her wings in and the rose. I have inked around her using Dew Drops Versa Magic Aloe Vera and cut her out using Spellbinder Decorative labels 8. This has then been layered over glitter card. I have added a pearl butterflie and dragonfly and used pearls gems as their trials. To finish off I added some roses.
This is a close up of her, isn't she gorgeous.
Thank you for stopping by today
