Wizards!

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Followers

I hope that you are all well and keeping warm on this cold frosty day.  I am in Leeds until Thursday.  Today is a busy day as we are prepping for the show on Wednesday at 11.00 am on Create and Craft.
I hope you can watch to see what the boys have for us this time.  I will be with them but in the background.

Today I have something different to show you!  As you all know I was a great cross stitch enthusiast until I became hooked on card making.  Here are a couple of pictures I have made for my husbands quite a few years ago for Birthday and Christmas presents.

This small wizard took me 3 weeks to make

This larger one took me 2 months to make and I was really happy with the results

This is a close up!  Lots of work in this but it was oh so worth it.

Thank you for stopping by Today
Hugs xxxx

  2. They're fab-u-lous Linda! Haven't done any cross stitching for ages now. I was doing a vintage fire engine for my ex, but then he dumped me so I didn't bother to finish it, lol. But I've got some stunning Geisha Girls I did years ago in my bedroom. Actually, the biggest I have still needs to be framed...it's huge! I really must get it done as it took so long to do and is a stunner.

  6. These are beautiful Linda. I can see that you have put a lot of work into them. I also love cross stitching but haven't done any for quite a while. I think the last thing I made was for my son's nursery just after he was born. He's now 20!! but I would like to get back into it.

Take care and good luck with the show.

  7. Counted cross stitch was another of my favorite hobbies - until I found card making. Now I don't find the time to do it. Your wizards are gorgeous and I know your husband loved them.

  13. They are beautiful Linda. I love the images. I used to do cross stitch and embroidery but I gave up when I had a ganglion and couldn't hold a needle. If I wasn't so busy with the cards I might go back to it x

  17. These are gorgeous, Linda! How funny that I used to cross-stitch and needlepoint, too, until I discovered card making. Still, I like the relatively instant gratification I get from cards compared with the hours and hours of time on stitching. I do stillpaint quite a bit but even that can take a huge number of hours. :-D
