Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Happy Easter to you all, I hope you all have a lovely day.  I am off to visit my Granddaughters Alice and Florence today.

Today we have a new challenge starting over at Lacy Sunshine and this fortnight the theme is "Anything Goes".  Since we started the challenge we have had a great response to our challenges and Heather is over joyed with all the support she has got from everyone.  I do hope that you take part and please check out my design team colleauges on what they have created for the challenge.

After playing with my Melt Pot and Spellbinder dies, I made the lock using the Love Locket die.  I knew then that I had to use Lizabeth key to my heart digi for my card.

First layer has been embossed using Die'Sire Regal Damask and Core'dinations card I have wrapped cream and black dot ribbon around before layering onto the base card.
The second layer has been cut out using Spellbinder Grande Labels 23 cream and black dotty paper
I printed the image off onto Stampography card and coloured with my Graph It pens and distressed around the edges with PanPastels Magenta Shade.
The sentiment is from my stash as is the black gems and the key.
To finish off I have made a bow and added the UTEE Locket.

Home is where the Heart Is!!!

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Welcome to all my new followers, wow only 11 followers before I reach 700.  Thank you everyone for following me, visiting and leaving such wonderful comments.  I hope that you have all enjoyed visiting and I have helped inspire you with my varied creations over that last 2 years.

Today's make is something that I have been wanting to do for a while.  On my trip to Harrogate GPNE show I purchased the sign "home".  I had an idea what I wanted to do then went in a totally different direction.  Do you find this happening to you too?  Anyway less babbling from me and here are a few photographs of my completed "Home", which will show you why I chose the title for this post.

I painted this first with Pebeo brown acrylic paint and then added Kroma to get a feint crackle
Once this was dry I then stippled Pebeo cream  and then let that dry. Once it was dried I sprayed with Crafter's Companion Spray and Sparkle in Gold
I printed off the photograph of my hubby and I and cut it out into a heart and glittered around the edge.
Using a stamp set I stamped the hearts and sentiments using Black Stazon.
It now has pride of place on my mantle piece.

First Journal

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Friends

I hope you have all had a "Good Friday".  I have had a good day hubby has been off so we went to the Range which has opened up about 5 minutes from where I love.  I was like a child in a sweet shop!!!  I managed to get quite a few bits that I haven't been able to get on line so that made me very happy, plus we got £10 off our shop too as we (I) had spent over £50.  Hubby paid, and all he put into the trolley was some planting on pots for his veggies and an expandable file.

Anyway onto what I started last night, as you all know I have my very own fur baby called Tiggy so decided to do my first journal on this little minx.  I had so much fun with this and I have added some pages which will be filled with photographs of my little baby.

Front Page

Back of Front Page and Second Page

Inside of Back Page

Back Page

The journal has been made using a combination of My Minds Eye and Bo Bunny Papers
The frame on the front page is made using a mould and UTEE.
I have used Good Luck stamps from Visible Image which has the great Cat and Paw prints.
I have also used Fran-tage in aged black, aqua and taupe
The cat on the second page is from Crafty-Emblies and the wool and bird are from my stash.

I thought you might like to see my fur baby.  Isn't she a cutie? She sure has her daddy wrapped round her little paws!

Decorated Pot

Good evening crafty friends, followers and visitors

Well I have had a fabulous afternoon creating in my craft room.  I haven't made any cards but I can tell you there has been Pebeo paint, Kroma crackle, Flitterglu, gilding flakes and book binding glue.  I have been in my element and I plan to be doing this all weekend (when I am at home).

Tonight's little pot I bought at Harrogate as I so love the shape of it but didn't have a clue what I was going to do with it, don't you find that?

I have used Pebeo acrylic paint in blueberry and painted both the inside and the outside.  Once it was dry I then used one of my swirl stamps (Creative Expressions stamp) and stamped all the sides and used silver gilding flakes which had the odd gold flecks in it.  Around the bottom I attached stringed pearls with Pinflair and let that dry.  I wanted to use the wool with the love bits but it was to narrow so I crocheted a long snake to go around the top of the pot and enough to tie a bow.  on the back I have added the black butterfly which was cut out using Spellbinder Les Papillion 2 and added some gems.

On the front I have attached 3 stick pins a rose and 2 other flowers .

on the back I have added the black butterfly which was cut out using Spellbinder Les Papillion 2 and added some gems.

I left the sides decorated only with the gilding flakes.  I am going to put a chocolate Easter bunny inside and give it as a gift to my mum!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

A busy morning here so far, I can't believe that it is midday already.  Mind you I have got quite a lot of work done which is a good thing, unfortunately nothing crafty just shopping and sorting admin out.  The rest of the day is to craft, I am working on a few different pieces, not cards which I am hoping to post over the weekend.

Today's card is a combination of digi image and papers I have had for quite a while and I am unsure where they came from.  I was playing with My Craft Studio and having a look through my digi's and papers when I came across these.

6 x 6 white square card
Purple card is from Core'dinations So Mod (love this pack)
The topper I have created using My Craft Studio Elite programme which I have printed onto Photo paper I have matted it onto black card and before layering down added some lace to one side.

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

What a busy day I have had!  I needed to get up to date with my design team projects and I have finally managed to do that.  That means this weekend I get to have a play with doing some altered art projects.  I have started to write down in a little notepad ideas which I have so I don't forget.  This pad will go with me everywhere.  Do any of you do this?  I used to do it all the time but with one thing and another I stopped doing it.

Well this evening's card is one I really enjoyed making, seem to me in a pink mood at the moment, does this happen to any of you?  Anyway I think I have babbled enough and you want to see my card.

Pink spotty die cut stepper card from Krafthyhands
I have used a glitter pen to add faux stitching around the card and the sentiment
The topper has been layered onto Core'dinations So Mod card
The postcard topper is from Kraftyhands Kew Floral Postcard Collection, I have added glitter to the roses but it hasn't shown up very well.
I have added leaf flourishes to either side of the front panel, inked and added glitter.
To finish off I have added a pink bow and iridescent leaves and flowers.

Vintage Frame

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you have all had a good day and got some crafting done.  I had a couple of DT projects to finish off and I managed to have a play just for me.

This little frame came in my swap parcel from Lindsay.  I couldn't decide on what to do with it at first then I had a light bulb moment. I hope you like it.

First of all I sanded the frame and painted is with Cosmic Shimmer paint in copper.
The image in the centre is a postcard from Cardmaker's Delight.
I have attached cogs, leaves, glass flowers and clock hands.  The lace effect on the bottom of the frame is crocheted cotton which I have inked up with my Adirondak Alcohol Inks
I am really pleased with how this turned out.

Follow your Heart

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

A couple of weeks ago I went to Harrogate as a customer rather than working.  I had a fabulous day and took one of Clarity stamps make and takes.

This is the card we made. I have added the butterfly and card candy when I got home as it looks to CAS for me.

4 x 4 cream square card
Black shiny card was the first layer
We stamped the heart twice onto patterned paper using gold embossing powder and once in Stazon.
As the design of the heart is patchwork we cut them out and put them back together using the black Stazon and Gold embossed.
The sentiment was stamped also onto patterned paper and cut into an oblong.
Using part of the heart on the top right corner and another in the corner as a pocket to hold the sentiment.
To finish off I added the butterfly and the card candy.

Birds of a Feather

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well we still have snow!  I have had a fabulous play today and made my first video for youtube if you have time to visit and comment that would be lovely  the link is here

What do you all think of the new look to my blog?  Isn't it just fabulous?  Kath from Mucky Paws blog was kind enough to design this for me.  Yesterday I found out that the design which I had was removed by the lady who I got  it from!  I mentioned this to Kath who promptly offered to redesign a new look for me.  She said "what would you like?"  I laughed and said straight away Steampunk!  I just love my Steampunk and I can't thank her enough for the most amazing design she has done for me.  So ladies if you want a blog overhaul look no further than our very own talented Kath.  I hasten to add that this took her nearly all day today to do as blogger has been a pain but what a transformation.  I even have my own blog button too so please feel free to grab my button.  If you do visit Kath please click on her "Blog Design 4U" she has done some design work for other blogs too.

Right onto todays card, doesn't it look lovely?  Reminds me of Spring!

A6 scalloped white card
First layer is First Edition Isabella paper Pak
Topper is a postcard from Cardmakers Delights which I have matted onto brown polka dot card
I have added a feather behind the topper a bird cage charm which I have added twine and 3 Card Candi

I hope that you are all keeping warm and safe today.  Boy it sure is cold here in Warrington and it is snowing, only small flakes but snowing nevertheless.  The wind is awful too and the snow is horizontal.

Well today I am showcasing one of the new stamp sets from the beautiful botanicals which you can purchase from Kraftyhands!  If you are going to the NEC they have them with them and they are on stand E11.  The lovely Ian has designed three wonderful sets of stamps and I am sure they will become firm favourites of mine as I was lucky enough to get my hands on all 3 of them.

6 x 6 white square scalloped card to which I have stamped butterflies around the edge.
1st layer is lilac pearlescent card cut out using Spellbinder Labels 1 die
I have stamped the hibiscus onto Stampography card and cut out using scalloped labels 1

Melt Pot Playtime

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Today Kath aka Mucky Paws, came to mine and we had a play with my melting pot and an assortment of moulds, mica, UTTE, and Fran-tage.  Boy did we have fun, we were bouncing ideas of each other.  My new Spellbinders came which were POTW last week on C & C and I said why don't we see if the UTTE etc will work with the dies.  WOW ladies did they ever!  Below is a photograph taken of some of the things we played with.  They aren't perfect but as this was just trial and error we were both pleased with the results.

We used the following Spellbinders Shapeabilities Die D-Lites
Wrought Iron, Gilded Gate 2, Filigree Vase, Ornamental Tags 3 and the Love Locket.
What do you thing?  On the vase and locket we rubbed Metallic Gilding Wax in Cast Bronze from Creative Expressions.  I will be playing a lot more with these D-Lites and my melting pot.
The Wrought Iron and Gilded gate where cut out first with scrap card and then dipped into the melting pot.

These ones are moulds that Kath brought with her except for the Cabochon which is from my stash.  On the heart Kath reheated this just a little then used the filigree pattern off the Spellbinder Vase and made an impression.

I would love the hear if you have used other accessories with your Melt Pot.

Thank you Kath for making today such a fun day and looking forward to our next play day.
