Last post for 2013

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well not long now in the UK before we celebrate the New Year!  I hope that what you wish for in 2014 comes true!  It has been an absolute pleasure showcasing my creations on my blog and seeing lots of my blogging and Facebook friends visit and leave lovely comments.

I look forward to continuing in the same fashion in 2014 and hope that I help to inspire you.  This is my last creation for 2013.  I have had my ups and downs but one of the highlights for me this year was getting to work with Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts.  With their support and encouragement I have been able to set up my challenge blog and pick the design team who are amazing.

This year was also the year I met the lovely and talented Kath (Mucky Paws).  We have become firm friends since February and what a pleasure it has been to be able to spend days together crafting.  I also got to meet lots of my lovely Facebook and Blogging friends too at the NEC who came to say hello which was just fabulous!  So to each and everyone of you I can't thank you enough!  You know who you are!

Tonight's card is all about new beginnings and what better way to celebrate a new beginning is being joined together as man and wife.

Recipe

1. 6 x 6 gold square card which I have matted and layered papers from LOTV Country Lady Papers.
2. The heart I have dusted over with Gold PanPastels.
3. I have then matted and layered green Core'dinations card for the topper.
4. To finish off I have added a bow with a tear drop, pearl gems and a sentiment.

Many thanks for visiting Today
Happy New Year

Flora and Fauna

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope my friends down south are okay with the terrible weather we are having.  It sure has been an awful afternoon here with strong winds and rain, it seems to have calmed down a bit now.  It sure is cold, we haven't even had snow yet and I dread to think what the roads will be like then!

Today I have managed to get a couple of DT projects started and made a card using another of my new Chocolate Baroque stamps, this set is Flora and Fauna.  Why not hop on over and have a look at what other stamps sets there are.  There are quite a few on my wish list now.

Recipe

1. 8 x 8 white square scalloped card.
2. First layer is gold and silver patterned mirri card.
3. The Second layer has been made using a variety of Distress Stains and Inks in greens.  I have used the Splodge Away arch mask and inked with Pickled Raspberry.
4. I stamped the poppies, dragonfly and butterfly onto Supersmooth with Versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder, I then coloured with my Copics and cut them out.  I have adhered them to the card using Pinflair.
5. I used the sentiment from Rose Stem Script set and stamped with London Fog Memento Ink.
6. To finish off I have added some pearl gems to the two top corners.

Owl Love

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Oh what a lovely inky messy play I have had today, playing with my distress stains, paints and inkadinks.  Making allsorts of backgrounds, using my stencils and distress inks and off course my new Steampunk Birds stamps from Chocolate Baroque which I treated myself too before Christmas as a present to myself.  Well it would have been rude not too, don't you think.

Today's card I have used the Owl, I love owls and of course you all know I love my Steampunk too!

Recipe

1. Kraft card 6 x 6 square for the base.
2. Green card is the first layer which is matted and layered at an angle.
3. The second layer is one of the background I have made today using Distress Stains in Tattered Straw and Old Paper.  Once this was dry I used Faded Jeans on the honeycomb and diamond stencil. I then used Vintage Photo on the Cogs stencils.  I then adhered this to the green card and wrapped Baker's twine around one side.
4. The Owl has been stamped onto another background using Distress Paints using Versafine and embossed with Stampendous Embossing Powder.
5. I attached the heart charm to the brad which I attached to the cog.
6. To finish off I stamped the saying with reads "Owl you need is Love" with Versafine and embossed, then added the winder with Pinflair and the wooden top hat.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges.

Alphabet Challenge Blog - W for whatever you wish
Crafts 4 Eternity #156 - Something New (Stamps)

2. I have added musical paper to the card with Mod Podge.
3. The sentiment is an SU sentiment which I stamped onto tissue paper with Distress Ink Vintage photog and adhered to the heart with PVA glue.
4. I then attached the flower and leaf to the base and then pearls around the heart. I then added some to the base of the butterfly which has been adhered to the heart with Pinflair.
