Memories

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

A nice relaxing day here today, no crafting as such as I have to pack for my trip to Derbyshire tomorrow.

I am off to Stephanie's in the morning to help prepare for the Summer Crafting Workshop on Friday then staying over on Friday night to go to the 2 day Show at Doncaster Race Course.

Looking forward to catching up with my crafting friends.

Today I am sharing with you an embroidery hoop that I have altered.

The image is from My Craft Studio Victorian Follies which I printed off and cut into a circle. The inside of the hoop I wound texture tape around I then attached the image. I then attached dusky pink material to the back of the hoop.

I wrapped white satin ribbon around the outer hoop and left enough for the hanging piece. Onto this I sewed white pearls and pink gems up either side. I then attached to the inner hoop.
The trim around the circle is from an old shawl I found whilst clearing the loft out. I adhered this to with my hot glue gun.

The large broach  at the top is from Ooh-la-la Vintage treasures.
I added feather, beaded trim and Sweet Lilac roses with the sentiment "memories" to the inside of the hop.
To finish off I attached pink organza ribbon, tassel and heart charm to the bottom.

Many thanks for your comments and continued support!
Happy Crafting
Hugs xxxxx

  18. What a stunning hanging Linda. I have a couple of hoops stashed somewhere (as I never use them for my cross stitch) and this would be an excellent way to put them to good use. x
