A Little bit Grungy

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I went to Kath's yesterday for our usual crafting session.
Kath challenged me to make something grungy, I don't mind grungy but enjoy my pretty cards too.

Here is what I made, Kath gave me a piece of Kraft Card, Tag, String, Paper clip, Plasterer's bonding, Die cut umbrella man, distress inks and embossing powder and a Tim Holtz stamp set.

Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 cream square card.
2. The Kraft card I randomly stamped the butterflies with Versamark and embossed with Frantage aged wine, distressed around the card with my scissors then distressed the edges with DI Black Soot. Using the Plasterer's bonding I layered this onto the card. I then wrapped the string around and tied into a knot before matting and layering onto the base card
3. I stamped the flourish on the stamp using Dusty Concord, stamped the sentiment and embossed with gold embossing powder, distressed the edges scissors and DI Black Soot, added the string to the top. I attached the paper clip to the side and matted and layered with foam pads.
4. The umbrella man I distressed with seedless preserve the used Frantage aged black. I didn't cover all of the die cut but pleased with how it turned out.

Final GDT for Chocolate Baroque

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Today I am sharing with you my final GDT project using Tangled Fragments by Chocolate Baroque

I would like to thank Glenda for giving me this opportunity to showcase my work on her blog and using her beautiful stamps.  I do hope you have enjoyed seeing my projects which I know are very different to what I usually create but I hope they have been inspirational.

As you all know I LOVE the colour purple and dragonflies so this is what I have chosen to use for my last project.

Recipe

1. The base card is centre stepper cream card which I have stamped one of the stamps from the set with Versafine Imperial Purple. I then matted and layered purple card onto the centre of the card.
2.  The background of the topper was created using shaving foam and inkadinks in Lilac Heaven and using a cocktails stick swirled the ink into the foam, I then placed the card onto the foam once I was happy that all the card was covered with the foam I lifted it off and removed the excess shaving foam to reveal the pattern.
3. I stamped the image with Imperial Purple and embossed, then matted and layered onto the purple card.
4. I stamped the dragonfly from the Flora and Fauna set onto the excess patterned card with Imperial Purple and embossed then cut out and adhered to the card with Pinflair.
5. To finish off I added Tim Holtz Chit Chat Words, Live, Laugh and Love.

Many thanks for your visiting Today

Prima Doll Canvas

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I had a lovely day with my parents who are both keeping well.

I got home this afternoon to finish off my Prima Doll Canvas which I started yesterday when Kath was here.

The Julie Nutting Prima doll is called Bolero.
.

First I painted an 8 x 10 inch canvas with Pebeo Gesso and greengold acrylic paint, once this was dry I added the music note tissue paper. I then added Inca gold around the edge of the canvas.
The wooden MDF cleft I painted with a mixture of cream and brown and once dry used Inca Gold around the edges and adhered to the Canvas.

Using Kaiser Craft Heirloom Collection paper I cut out Memory Box Virtuoso Music die and adhered to canvas. The letters I inks with Versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder.
In the top corner I added a metal corner with a green large gem.
The doily is my own which I have attached stick pins and roses to the centre.

I stamped the doll onto Supersmooth and using Copics coloured her hair, face arms and legs. I stamped the image again onto the Heirloom Paper for her dress, bolero and head band.
To finish off I added another of my doilies with a cream rose and a metal trumpet charm.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments.
I do appreciate you all.
