Autumn

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Just want to say a big thank you to all of you for your lovely comments and visits.

Today I am sharing a canvas I made yesterday whilst I was at Kath's.
I have wanted to make this canvas for a while, you know when you have an idea in your head and it just won't go away?  Well I finally got it onto canvas, I hope you like it.  Autumn is my favourite time of year as nature is such a wonder to behold when the leaves on the trees change from lush green hues to blazing reds and oranges.

Step by Step

1. I first gave the canvas which measures 10 x 8 a coat of Gesso and cream acrylic paint.
2. Using a stencil I created the mountains with Vintage Photo distress ink, I painted the sky using Inkadinks Candy Floss and Mango.
3. To create the tree, I mixed glass beads texture gel, texture past and brown acrylic paint and painted free hand the tree and branches.
4. Using Create a Scene stencil (designed by Kath) I masked off the sun to create a setting sun, painted with Sunshine Satin Silkies. I then stencilled some clouds and a couple of birds on the branches.
5. To finish off I added pine cones and some leaves from my garden. Also added the word autumn too.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Today my card is for Breast Cancer Awareness.

I am sure this is very close to a lot of people's hearts, after either seeing someone loose their life to this awful disease or suffering/suffered yourself.

I did have a scare a few years ago but was one of the lucky ones who didn't have this disease.
I have lost my aunt and friends to this disease and will forever be in my prayers.

I dedicate this card to everyone who has suffered or is suffering.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I have been sat out on the step drinking my coffee and watching Fluffy trying to catch the birds and butterflies.  I haven't seen that many butterflies at this time of year before.

Tonight's card is made using the brand new dies called Celtic Dream created, designed and developed by Tracey Dutton and Sue Baker from Imagination Crafts.  There are 23 designs and I am lucky to have 3 of the sets.

Why not hop on over and have a look at them on the Imagination Craft's website.

Step by Step

1. Scalloped Circular card.
2. Second layer I cut out a SB Grande Circle and distressed with Scattered Straw then matted and layered onto the card.  I then took the leave stamps from Lavinia and stamped around the base and first layer.

4. I cut out the Timeless die using black glossy card then brayered Black Stars sparkle medium, once dry I adhered to the card.
