Good Morning Crafty Friends,
How are you all?
Can you believe we are only 5 more sleeps until Christmas day!!!!
This month has flown by hasn't it, I am just thankful we have got everything now except for some last minute bits and pieces which I will pick up tomorrow as there is no way I am stepping outside shopping on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it is going to be bedlam.
Anyway here is a quick and easy card with a steampunk theme using Steampunk birds stamp set from Chocolate Baroque.
Step by Step
1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered navy blue card.
3. To create the background I gave it a colour wash using Distress Oxides in iced spruce and faded jeans. I then used the texture stamp from Harlequin fragments using Archival cornflower stamp pad. Using the edge of the pad I made the straight lines.
4. Onto a separate piece of water colour card I stamped the bird twice and water coloured with my Zig pens. I then cut out the bird and on the second bird the cog wheel in the centre to decoupage up for dimension.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment with black Archival ink.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
