Days Gone By

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A nice relaxing day planned here may even record a video.

Can you believe it is the last day of February, that sure went quick!

Today using the Nostalgia digital papers and ephemera from my website


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 white square base card with scalloped front.
2. Matted and layered burgundy card and harlequin paper which I have distressed with vintage photo.
3. Added a piece of hessian then matted and layered the ephemera onto burgundy card.
4. Added the ticket with the quote "one of a kind".
5. To finish off I added the metal key embellishment.

Freedom, Create, Art

Good Evening Crafty Friends,

Can you believe we are nearing the end of February?

Tonight I am sharing a video of an arty craft canvas, I have had this idea floating around in my little grey cells for a while and finally got to put it down on canvas, it is more or less how I envisaged it so really pleased. 



I have used predominantly IndigoBlu products including the Plume stamp set which is one of my favourites.

Keys to my Dreams

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A couple of errands this morning before I get into my craft room.

Don't forget I have blog candy which you can visit HERE!

I have plans to get my new IndigoBlu stamps out today and make some male cards.
These always come in handy as we have a lot of male relatives in our family especially on Ricks side.

Today is a Chocolate Baroque card sharing day.
I have used the Keys to my Dreams stamp set for my card.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card
2. Matted and layered gold pearlescent card.
3. Using shaving foam background card I stamped the keys and sentiment with Versafine and embossed with WOW embossing powder.
4. Onto another piece of card I stamped the large key and embossed with WOW gold embossing powder cut out and coloured with brown Distress marker pen.
5. To finish off I adhered the key with Pinflair for dimension.

Hello Friend

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How did your weekend go?

Rick and I had a lovely relaxing quiet weekend, catching up on some movies and generally just chilling.

This week is a busy week, lots of videos to do as well as projects for my blog.

Today my card is using the Les Beaux Oiseaux digital papers and ephemera from


Step by Step

1. Base card is DL in cream which I have turned on its side to use landscape for a change.
2. Matted and layered musical paper which I distressed around the edges with DI vintage photo.
3. Cut a piece of the blue and cream paper into a triangle distressed around before layering onto the card.
4. Matted and layered the ephemera onto brown card and adhered to base card.
5. To finish off added the sentiment "hello friend" and brown pearl gems to 2 corners.

From the Heart

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How is your weekend going?

I had a very busy day yesterday with getting all the housework, washing and ironing done, managed to get into the craft room yesterday afternoon as my new goodies arrived from Indigoblu and managed a little play with their new releases.

Today's card is using my new Tim Holtz Flower Garden stamps and Distress Oxides.


Step by Step

1. A5 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black card.
3. To create the background on the next layer I used Distress Oxides in the following colours, broken china, blueprint sketch, salty ocean and faded jeans.
4. On one of the shaving foam technique backgrounds I stamped the flower heads and embossed with WOW embossing powder and cut out, I stamped the stems and cut them out to.
5. I cut out the jar in acetate, added distress crackle paint let it dry and added Alcohol ink in 3 different blues. Once dry arranged the stems and flowers then placed the jar over.
6. To finish off I added pearls around the edge of the jar and stamped the sentiment.

A Girls best Friend

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well here we are again Friday sure has arrived far too quick this week.

Today's card is using the So Cute digital image and papers from my website


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white scalloped edge white card base.
2. Matted and layered paper from the So Cute collection.
3. Matted and layered pink and patterned paper, divided into 2 block and wrapped ribbon between them and made a bow.
4. Matted and layered the image onto pink card. All layers have been distressed around the edges with DI spun sugar.
5. To finish off I added the dragonfly, heart gem to centre of bow and birthday sentiment.

Well what a month long journey I have been on after receiving the email from You Tube on their changing their rules.

Take Flight

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all today?

I am off out on a couple of errands this morning and of course it is my weigh in day.

Today sharing a new card using IndigoBlu's Take Flight Stamp as well as 2 of the Dinkie Stamps, bubbles and cross hatch.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 cream scalloped square card base.
2. Matted and layered copper pearlescent embossed card.
3. The background is the mop up from another background using Distress Oxides and SN glitter pens. I have stamped the cross hatch and bubbles using Distress Ink vintage photo and distressed around the edges.
4. I stamped the bird on another piece of mop up background papers with Versafine and embossed before cutting out and adhering to background with Pinflair for dimension.
5. To finish off I added 3 pieces of string to one corner with 3 feathers and the birthday sentiment.

France Papillon

Good Evening Crafty Friends

On Sunday I went to the CHSI Stitches Trade show.

I saw lots of my lovely fellow crafters from IndigoBlu, Hunkydory, Chocolate Baroque, Crafter's Companion, Imagination Crafts to name but a few.

I had a lovely chat with Lesley from Chocolate Baroque and met France Papillon, I did a workshop with France a couple of years ago at Art from the Heart so it was lovely to catch up.

She allowed me to record her demonstrating and here is the video.

Fairy Dell

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I had a wonderful day yesterday catching up with Kath and having a good crafty play day too.

Today is all about getting inky and creating with my stamps, distress oxides and making some cards.

Today sharing with you something I made at Gill's, we used wooden fairy door, wood and toadstools so I made this into a fairy dell.


Step by Step

1. Painted the door and frame with brown acrylic paint, once dry added a layer of crackle, I then finished off with a layer of cream paint and got a nice fine crackle on the door.
2. I added Prima wax to the toadstools and coloured the fairy with Promarkers.
3. I added the moss, hedgehog and door to the block of wood.
4. Decorated the door with flowers and leaves and adhered the fairy to the toad stool.
5. To finish off I added a welcome stone and gnome.

Sideshow

Good Morning Crafty Friends, 

An early start for me this morning as got food shopping and then I am off to Kath's for our crafty play day.  I think it is going to be another Tim Holtz Chemistry kind of day!

I want to thank each and everyone of my lovely blogging and You Tube friends for helping me reach 4000 hours, unfortunately I didn't make the deadline and will loose my monetisation.  I am still keeping up with making my videos and as soon as I reach the 4000 hours I should get it back but who knows.

Today sharing a quick card I made using one of my new stamps from the Sideshow stamp set by Tim Holtz.


Step by Step

1. A5 white base card.
2. Using paper from my stash I stencilled letters using Distress Ink Vintage Photo, I then also stamped the numbers using the same ink.
3. On a tag I painted with mustard seed Distress Paint, once this was dry I stencilled the letters and stamped the numbers. I then stamped the image with black Versafine and embossed using clear embossing powder.
4. To finish off I added string to the top of the tag and adhered to base card.

Stay Inspired

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope that you have all had a fabulous weekend and today is a good day for you all.

Today is the last day to enter my 1000 subscriber giveaway on my You Tube Channel!

Well unicorns are very big at the moment and I must admit that I love them too, so much so that my calendar I have in my craft room is a Unicorn one.

Today's card features Jewel, the unicorn stamp from IndigoBlu as well as the Vintage flourish stamp.
The background is created using the shaving foam technique which you can find here.


Step by Step

1. 8" scalloped circle white base card.
2. Matted and layered navy blue card which was cut out with SB Grande circle die.
3. I stamped the vintage flourish with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder all around the circle background which is one that I created using the shaving foam technique.
4. I stamped Jewel onto a pale piece of shaving foam card embossed and cute out, adhered to background with Pinflair for dimension.
5. To finish of I stamped the sentiment on white card and spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Fully Purple.

How are you all this morning!

I am off to Birmingham today for the Stitches trade show. Looking forward to seeing what is new coming on the market and catch up with some crafty friends.

Today I am sharing a card using the Lamination Plus Floral Splendour stencils from Stamps by Me.


Step by Step

1. Card base is white A5.
2. Matted and layered purple card.
3. Onto watercolour card I have spritzed the flower using Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist, once this was dry I moved the stencil over and used Distress Oxide in Shaded Lilac.
4. I then used the leaf stencil and Distress Oxide bundled sage, moved stencil to create a 2nd and 3rd generation with the oxides.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment.

Vintage Series Day 3 of 3

Today is part 3 of my 3 day Vintage Series and I am finishing with a canvas
"she dreamed beautiful dreams"


This is an 8 x 8 canvas board which I have created this vintage style using a variety of products.
The image is from my stash and the MDF fits perfectly with the image.
I have also used Wild Orchid Craft Flowers for decoration.

Flora Musica

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

WOW Friday already, this week has flown by!

What are your plans for today? I am going to be doing a couple of videos today and hopefully get them edited and at least one of them uploaded, but we will see.

Today my card is made using the Flora Musica stamp from Chocolate Baroque


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered brown card.
3. To create the topper I have used Distress Oxides in aged mahogany, squeezed lemonade and carved pumpkin.
4. I stamped the image using Versafine black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then coloured leaves and flowers with glitter pens.
5. To finish off I added yellow and orange pearl gems.

Vintage Series Day 2 of 3

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Not a good start to the day waking up to no electricity!

At last it is back on and now to get myself sorted as off out this morning, a case of catching my tail as lots to do before going out.

A quick and simple birthday card to share today.


Step by Step

1. Cream DL base card.
2. Stamped the sentiment using Red Generation INX from Stamps by Me using the Eureka 101.
3. Onto a manilla tag I brayered distress stains in fired brick and spiced marmalade.
4. Once dry I stamped the outline stamp using Versafine and embossed with WOW embossing powder, I then stamped the lamination part of the stamp in green and burgundy.
5. To finish off I stamped small dragonflies, adhered to base card with foam pads and added a red gem to the top of the tag.

Live, Laugh, Love

Happy Valentine's day to you all.

Rick and I had a lovely day out yesterday and finished off going out for lunch.

Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered yellow card.
3. On a shaving foam created background I stamped the poppies and sentiment with vintage sepia Versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder.
4. I coloured the poppies with Zig Brush Pens.
5. To finish off outlined the poppies with grey marker.

Vintage Series, Day 1 of 3

Good Evening Crafty Friends,

Rick and I have had a lovely day out today to celebrate our 19th Wedding Anniversary.
Where has the time gone.

Tonight sees the start of my Vintage 3 day series and for day 1 I have created this tag.
