Countryside

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A lot to do this weekend, hoping to finish off my DT samples and some other admin jobs too.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Today a card using Sheena's new stamps.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 square black base card
2. Matted and layered yellow and blue card.
3. Created background using DO Blueprint sketch, spiced marmalade and crushed olive.
4. I then stamped the flowers, birds, corners and sentiment with Archival distress Ink.
5. To finish off I coloured the flowers with Zig brush pens.

...under cover of the rain...

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A busy day here making a start on DT work.

We had a fabulous time on holiday and can't believe it is all over.

Today sharing a male card using Tim Holtz products.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 Kraft square base card.
2. Matted and layered brown and blue card.
3. The background I have used a piece of canvas which I have distressed with DI gathered twigs and mermaid lagoon.
4. I stamped and stencilled around the background.
5. To finish off I added the quote.

Birds and Blossoms

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well those 2 weeks sure went by so quick but had a fabulous holiday in Turkey.

Got back early hours yesterday morning and went to bed. 
Got up and did all the washing and ironing and put the cases back in the loft ready for next year.

Today sharing my samples from Sue's shows on Saturday which I watched last night on catch up from Create and Craft. Weren't the samples amazing from my DT buddies?

Steampunk Canvas

Thistle

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope you are all well and had a great weekend.

Hubby and I will be making our way home this evening and hope to catch up with you all upon my return home.

A new card to share using Sheena's Flowers of Britain stamps etc.


Step by Step

1. A5 white landscape base card.
2. Matted and layered pink and blue card.
3. To create background I have used a combination of Brusho's Ultramarine and Scarlet along with DO cracked pistachio, picked raspberry and Victorian velvet.
4. Stamped the bird, corners and heather with Archival distress ink.
5. To finish off die cut the thistle.

Adventure, Explore, Travel

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Hope you are all well and had a good week.

Only a few more days of our holiday left and hope you have enjoyed visiting and commenting while I have been away.

Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 black square card.
2. Matted and layered red card.
3. To create background I used DO picked raspberry, mustard seed and wild honey.
4. Stencilled the clock around the page and added washi tape then stamped the car.
5. To finish off I added the chit chat words.

There's reward in Every Goodness

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope you are all well and have a wonderful weekend.

Sharing a new card with you today.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered green and yellow card.
3. Created background using DO cracked pistachio, crushed olive and ripe persimmon.
4. Die cut the daffodils and adhered to base card with Pinflair glue gel.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment, butterflies and flourish with Archival Distress Ink.

Cherry Blossom

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A very simple but effective card to share today using Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered black and jade card.
3. Onto black shiny card I stencilled the image using Sparkle Medium Jade and Diamond.
4. To finish off I added the small blossom flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

One of a Kind

A new male card to share with you today.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 Kraft card base.
2. Matted and layered black card.
3. Wrapped cream twine around the patterned card before matting and layering.
4. Matted and layered the topper with foam pads for dimension.
5. To finish off I added the quote which I have distressed with vintage photo.

Knitting for Beginners Part 2

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I am using double knit wool from Deramores

Part 2 covers knitting the rib, welt or cuff and increasing stitches.
We will be working our way through this baby pattern and once it is made I will donate it to the premature baby unit at my local hospital.

Imagination

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope that you have all had a good weekend and mange to get some crafting done.

Tomorrow I am away on holiday with Rick to Bodrum in Turkey.
Mum is coming to kitty sit for us while we are away.

I will have videos and blog posts scheduled while I am away.

Have a wonderful 2 weeks and I will see you all when I get back.

Today a new card using AALL & Create stencil and stamp.


Step by Step

1. DL white base card.
2. Matted and layered yellow card which I have distressed the edges with DI gathered twigs.
3. Created the background with Distress Oxides stormy sky, vintage photo and squeezed lemonade.
4. Stencilled over the background with Stencil #53 with DI stormy sky then stamped with Archival distress ink.
5. To finish off wrapped washi tape along the bottom.

Cadence Academy - Kadikoy Istanbul

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well what a week I have had!

I was very honoured to be asked to go to Cadence Academy in Istanbul with very talented artists, Stephanie Weightman, Sue Baker, Mandy Taylor, Elizabeth Robinson, Kathleen Turner, Anna Higginbottom, Mel Heaton and Sarah-Lou.

We spent 5 amazing and very busy days learning how to use the amazing products produced by Cadence.  The teacher Gulen Turan was awesome as was whole of the Cadence Team.  They made us feel so welcome and taught us a lot too.  At the end of the week we were presented with a certificate which I will be framing of course!

Below are a couple of photographs of some of the projects, we completed 16 projects in all from MDF, glass work, textile, Resin Art to name but a few.

Finally sharing a couple of my projects which we worked on using the most amazing products.
Lots of layers, techniques and designs.
The theme throughout all of the projects was Nautical.

A book box using Vintage Legend Paints, stencils, Very Chalky Home Decor, Liquid Wax, Rice Paper and Home Decor Wax


Cushion Cover using Dora Textile and Style Matt, Fashion Relief Paste and Glitter Relief Paste,
Lots of layers using Rice paper and stencils.


Finally sharing a canvas bag using, Fashion Relief Paste, Metallic Fashion Relief Paste, Rice Paper, Stencils, Fabric Transfer.

I want to thank Stephanie and Sue for giving me this opportunity as well as to Ozlem, Gulan and the team at Cadence for their welcome and hospitality.

I hope you have enjoyed a sneak peak of my amazing time at Cadence.

I have made lifelong friends and also it was lovely to get to know the rest of the team from the UK.

La Belle

Another week draws to a close and hasn't it gone so quickly and we are on the last day of August!

A new card to share using one of my own toppers.


Step by Step

1. A6 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black and harlequin card which has been distressed with DI ground espresso.
3. Matted and layered another piece of the harlequin card which I distressed with DI Victorian velvet before matting and layering onto black card.
4. Matted and layered topper onto black card.
5. To finish off added the pearl gems.
