Mother

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I would like to wish my crafty Friends in the UK

Happy Mother's Day!

I have created the background on this card which was shown by Pete Simpson on Hochanda a couple of weeks ago.  Thanks Pete :)



Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black card.
3. To create background I have distressed with Artistry Ink Blaze and Cinnamon Tea, scrunched up card, flattened out and distressed over creases with Archival Ink.
4. Stamped and embossed the fressia's and sentiment then coloured with Zig pens.
5. To finish off I added pink gems.

Conie Fong's Serenity

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today is my day for sharing another of my DT projects for Conie Fong.

In February Conie asked for a name for this new digi and I called her Serenity and that is the name Conie picked, I was chuffed to bits. You can purchase Serenity here.

To colour Serenity I have used the following Copics:

Hair - E51, E53, E35
Skin - E11, E21, E50, E51, R20
Lips - R24, R27
Flowers - Spica Glitter Pens


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered embossed white card distressed with DI tumbled glass and bundled sage.
3. Matted and layered white and brown flourish card.
4. Printed image and coloured with above Copics, then cut out, matted and layered onto pink patterned card.
5. To finish off I added the yellow and blue flowers.

Happy Birthday

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Friday already and nearly the end of March too!

It sure has been a very busy month with one thing and another and Dad is doing okay,
he just needs to keep up with his exercises and the nurse is coming today to remove his stitches. Ouch!

Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 cream square base card.
2. Matted and layered Kraft card and patterned card.
3. Matted and layered the topper with foam pads over the butterfly.
4. Added 2 other butterflies around the page.
5. To finish off added the birthday sentiment.

March's Crafty Stash Haul

Silhouette

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well another busy day off to get weighed this morning and then off to visit my dad this afternoon.

No rest for the wicked so they say!

A new card using another of Imagination Crafts rice paper, I do love silhouettes do you?


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 black square base card.
2. Matted and layered white embossed card.
3. Adhered silhouette to white card, cut out then matted and layered onto black and gold card.
4. Created the bouquet using flowers from Wild Orchid crafts.
5. To finish off added the sentiment.

Angelica

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Another busy day here in the craft room today.

Lots of admin and video work to prepare and make a start on.

A new card using an old digi from Pink Gem called Angelica.

I have used the following to colour the image:

Hair - E71, E74, E77, E79
Skin - E50, E51, E53, R20
Lips - R20, R22
Eyes - B63, B66, B69
Top - B21, B23, B26 and Wink of Stella on collar.
Flowers - Zig Colour Brush pens


Step by Step

1. 5 x 5 cream square base card.
2. Matted and layered navy card die cut with Labels 26.
3. Printed image and coloured with above Copics before die cutting with labels 26.
4. Added yellow and blue flowers in top corner.
5. To finish off added 3 blue pearls.

Tonight another mixed media project, I have called this a money box!

You know when men have lots of change in their pockets and simply empty them and the change goes everywhere, well I made this box especially for Rick to put his change in ;) Lets see if it is used!

A busy day with a visit to my dads to do some errands etc.

Today a new card using the Teasels Aperture die from Clarity Stamp Fresh Cut dies club.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 cream base card.
2. Matted and layered purple card.
3. Matted and layered paper from the Indian Summer paper pack.
4. Die cut the aperture with SB Labels 1 die using purple card.
5. To finish off stamped the "get well soon" sentiment.

Magnolia Birthday

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Hope you are all well this Monday morning and had a good weekend.

In one of my video's a couple of weeks ago (tote bag) I used the Fabric and Canvas Magnolia transfer, what was left I ironed onto card for a later date to make a card.

Today I am sharing the card along with the background which was created using the mop up of the fabric sprays.

Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 cream base card.
2. Matted and layered deep pink pearlescent card.
3. Matted and layered background card which was created using mop up of Fabric paint, navy, fuchsia and sprayed with turquoise, wrapped pink ribbon around both layers.
4. Cut out and decoupaged magnolias.
5. To finish off added the Happy Birthday sentiment and butterfly.

Party Dress

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

It was lovely to catch up with my crafty friends yesterday at the Copics class.
The same again today too!

A new card today using the beautiful image Party Dress from the Coco Dolls line of Coco Palm Studios, which I received off Holley in celebration of her recovery from brain surgery 9 years ago.

I have used the following Copics to colour the image in:

Skin - E50, E51, E53, R20
Hair - C3, C5, C7, C10, BV01
Dress - BG11, BG13, BG18
Shoes - BV23, BV25, BV29


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white scalloped edge base card.
2. Matted and layered black patterned card.
3. Printed image and coloured with above Copics before cutting out with SB Labels 26.
4. Matted and layered onto green card also die cut with Labels 23.
5. To finish off made a silver double bow, added rose silver charm and sentiment.

Monochrome Best Wishes

Cornflower

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Friday already and it has been a very busy couple of weeks.

Looking forward to my Copic's classes this weekend where I will be meeting up with my friends and some colouring techniques to be learnt.

Today a new card using the Cornflower stamp from the Wild Flower stamp set and framed stencil from the stencil club at Clarity Stamp.


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered paper from the Northern Lights 12 x 12 paper pack.
3. Created background using DO picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade and ripe persimmon.
4. Stencilled the frame using AI Orange Popsicle then stamped the cornflower and sentiment.
5. To finish off coloured cornflower with Zig colour brush pens.

Well my dad is finally home after his knee replacement surgery and is doing okay, very slowly getting more mobile and I think he is doing well considering he is 82.

A busy morning with errands and weigh in.
Also Dad is home and will be spending time with him too.

Today sharing another card using one of the pussy cat rice papers from Imagination Crafts.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white base card.
2. Matted and layered turquoise pearlescent card.
3. To create background I used DI shabby shutters, salty ocean and squeezed lemonade.
4. Matted and layered to cat onto card, cut out and adhered to base card with foam pads.
5. To finish off added the sentiment and drew birds in the sky with Micron pen.

Cosmos Sprite

A new card using Cosmos Sprite by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.

I have coloured the image with the following Copics:

Shoes/Greenery - YG11, YG13, YG17
Sprite - V12, V15, V17
White Gel Pen


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered leafy green card and purple scalloped circle card.
3. Printed the sprite and coloured with above Copics before cutting out with circle die.
4. I then added the flowers to the side of the image.
5. To finish off I added the pearl corner.

How are you all today.

Thank you for all your comments regarding my Dad, he is hoping that he will be coming home today but we will have to see what the physiotherapist has to say.

Sharing a new card using this beautiful butterfly stamp from Clarity Stamp


Step by Step

1. 5 x 5 cream square base card.
2. Matted and layered copper pearlescent card.
3. To create background I used Distress Oxides faded jeans, stormy sky and mermaid lagoon.
4. I stamped and embossed the butterfly onto the background and onto a seperate piece of card, cut out and coloured with SN glitter pens.
5. To finish off stamped the sentiment, decoupaged the butterfly and added brown gems.

A Classic Hello

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

My dad is doing okay following his knee operation, we are flitting backwards and forwards to the hospital. He is looking forward to getting home as like me he hates hospitals!

Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 cream base card.
2. Matted and layered Kraft card.
3. Stamped map with Versafine and embossed, I then spritzed pale blue Imagination Crafts mixed media spray.
4. Stamped and embossed car and sentiment and coloured the card with Black Alchemy wax.
5. To finish off adhered sentiment.

I am off to the NEC with my friends Gill and Kath today.
I am excited as I haven't been for a number of years so will be interesting to see if it has changed.
