First DT projects for Ali-Crafts

Hello my crafty friends and followers

Well I had a fabulous weekend working with the lovely Kay at Harrogate and met a lot of old friends and new friends too.

Here is one of my first set of projects for Ali-Craft as part of their design team. You can also visit their Facebook page here. As a lot of you know I have an eclectic style to my crafting and I like anything and everything about papercrafting but also I have now moved into decorating frames etc. This is my first ever project combining my love of grunge with some gorgeous papers and inks also my embellishments are ever increasing from the usual too.

My first project I have used the house shaped shelving system which you can buy from Ali-Crafts at the Birmingham NEC HobbyCrafts show this coming weekend. Look out for Ali and Iain who will be on Stand G01. I have also used the new Tim Holtz Attic Treasures stamps and Graphic 45 12 x 12 papers which are simply fabulous to work with.

I have painted the house in white emulsion and then distressed the outside with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Stormy Sky. On the inside I have used a combination of Tea Dye and Wild Honey by stamping pad onto craft mat and a water brush to cover the area. I had a small canvas which I also painted and then stamped cotton reel toppers all over the frame using Black Stazon, I cut out this topper from the Graphic45 Eclectic Emporium paper and run around the edges using my scissors to give a distressed look and distressed the edges with Tea Dye. I attached the frame to the house using Pinflair gel. I added strong double sided tape to the top and some lace which I distressed a little with Old Paper Distress Ink.

The cotton reels were in my craft stash which I wound different embroidery threads around. I then stamped the cotton reel toppers from the stamp kit and added to both ends of each of the cotton reels.

When my father-in-law passed away I inherited his button box. There were a lot of lovely goodies in this box as my mother-in-law was always sewing and I searched the box and found old button, and old sew needles book, an old tape measure, elastic, buckle, seamstress chalk, cotton and a thimble.

Before adding all the gorgeous finds I used some of the stamps and stamped in a couple of the compartments using Tea Dye and from the above mentioned 12 x 12 sheet I stamped the image using Stazon onto the card then cut out and distressed the edges with my scissors. I then distressed the edges with Tea Dye ink pad. I attached this to the edge of the house.

This is a close up shot of the bottom of the house. All the embellishments have been attached with Pinflair gel. Don’t you just love the look of these buttons? The needle pocket is just a brilliant find; I was so excited as it fitted in with this project so well. Well the last photograph is the finished article.

Paintbox Poppets Flower Gatherers

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

Well it is a beautiful spring day here in Warrington. Washing has finished and I am going to peg it out. I just love being able to hang my washing out and then ironing it as it spells so fresh. I hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing.

I have made a card using Paintbox Poppets, don't you just love these images? I wish I was as talented as the fabulous Christine Haworth. I bought the CD and the stamps and some of the decoupage from Crafter's Companion and I love them. I haven't had time to stamp yet but I will!

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban Crafts.
2. I have used Core-dinations blue card and cut out the border and leaves from Spellbinder Damask Accents dies.
3. The topper is from the Paintbox Poppets die cut range which I have decoupaged using Pinflair gel.
4. I have added the lace and flowers from my craft stash.

In The Attic

Good Morning my crafty friends and followers

Well got back home last night from a very busy weekend at Harrogate.

Today I have 2 cards and a frame I made using the In the Attic CD from Kraftyhands. As you know I became part of the Design Team this month and this is my first lot of samples for Mike and Ian. This CD reflects all the toys of time gone by and after making the 2 cards my ideas where coming thick and fast for my third project which I hope you like. My Fair Lady Blog Hop

Good Morning my crafty friends and followers

Today Gill over at Creations by Gill M is hosting the My Fair Lady blog hop. If you have arrived here from Becky then you are going in the right direction. I love this film with Audrey Hepburn, what a fantastic part she played as Eliza Dolittle and some fabulous songs came out of this. I have made 3 cards for this hop but I could have made more if I had had the time. I have used Debbie Moore's One Fine Lady CD collection and was really spoilt for choice. I hope you enjoy seeing my cards.

The only embellishments I have added to these three cards are ribbon, flowers, a leaf, feather, and gold mirri card.

DT Samples for Jem's Designs

Well today on Create and Craft some of my second lot of samples I made for the lovely Sue Andrews of Jem's Designs were seen on TV for the new CD Spellbound 2. I had so much fun making these cards as many of you know I am a fairy and butterfly fan. The papers and CD are a must have for Jem's CD fans. I was able to mix and match with both and really enjoyed making these samples. A great big thank you to Sue and Linda for giving me this opportunity to work with this fabulous CD and papers.

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Animal Kingdom

Hello everyone

I hope you are all well and life is being good to you. Today over at Scrapbook Stamp Society is time for another fortnightly challenge. The challenge is Animal Kingdom. I have used the Wolf by the artist Mogan Fitzsimons and you can purchase this here.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is white 6 x 6.
2. The first layer is printed from My Craft Studio Papercraft Library Men-y Happy Returns. I have used Spellbinders Labels 23 and layered this onto the card.
3. I printed off the wolf onto Supersmooth card which I then just highlighted to wolf with watercolour pencils and then cut out using Spellbinders labels 23.
4. The leaves are from my stash and the bits of wood are from my garden.

Little Mermaid

Good Evening my Crafty Friends and Followers

This is going to be my last "live" post until Monday as I am off to Harrogate tomorrow. That doesn't mean to say that there will be no posts for a few days, I have 3 scheduled posts over the next 3 days while I am away for you to look at and comment if you so wish. I wish you all a happy weekend and of course wishing you all a fabulous Mothering Sunday and that you all get spoilt.

Some happy news for me too today, my second grandchild is going to be a little girl and my hubby and I are thrilled to bits as we only had boys so it is a lovely change to get more girly clothes etc. Alice is doing well and the new baby is healthy too from what the Doctor's said when Holly had her scan today.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is A5 to which I have matted pale blue pearlescent card. I have cut the edges of the card with a wavy cut.
2. The second layer is cut out with one of my Spellbinder dies which I have used marbling inks onto in golds and purples.
3. The little mermaid is one of the paintings by Christine Haworth's Dream Tide. This is the lady who has also done the Paintbox Poppets and Angel Whispers. Love her designs and I have had these a long time.
4. To finish off I added the sentiment and a couple of decoupage shells and a couple of real shells.

Lilac card Again!!!!

Good Afternoon my crafty friends and followers

Yes I have done a card in lilac again! Sorry for those of you who don't lilac but as Kay would say everything Linda likes is lilac!! Well it would be rude not to wouldn't it? I have at last been able to get outside to photograph my photographs and this sure helps in showing them on my blog.

Today I have used another of Sherri Baldy's digi's. You can view a whole range of digi's at Scrapbook Stamp Society from fabulous artists such a Heather Valentin, Morgan Fitzsimons and Mitzi Sato-Wiuff to name but a few who all do the most amazing digi's and stamps too. If you like my digi which is called Bunny and Beatrice then you can buy her here.

Recipe & Method

1. Using card from Keepsake (The Glitter Girls) I made a stepper card. This card is different shades of purples and lilacs with lovely floral design in gold.
2. I printed of Bunny and Beatrice onto Neenah card cut out using Spellbinder die and coloured in using watercolour pencils and Sakura gel pens. I then inked around her using Dew Drops VersaMagic in Pretty Petunia. I then layered her onto the card.
3. I added pretty lilac feather and some beautiful roses also in lilac from my stash.
4. To finish the card off I added the sentiment and attached to hat pins with lilac heads.

Garden Mandie Lil Dollies

Good Afternoon my Crafty Friends and Followers

First of all I want to thank Lindsay for awarding me the Green Blend Award and to Marleen for the Versatile Blog award. Thanks a lot girls you are the best :)

Well 5 lots of DT work finished and 2 more left to do before Friday Morning. A little late blogging again but I had quite a bit of admin to do so here I am gone 4 o'clock posting my card. The sun is shining and lovely and warm here while I am typing up this post. Finger's crossed that the weather is going to get better as the weeks go on.

I do love my digi's from Scrapbook Stamp Society and of course for my card I have used Sherri Baldy's Garden Mandie Lil Dollies which you can purchase here.

Recipe and Method

1. Card base is A5 and from Kanban Crafts. I have scored the front of the card to make an easel card.
2. The pale gree card is also from Kanban Crafts which I have cut out using Spellbinder Die Label 23 I layered the first matt onto the base adding white organza ribbon and attached a Spellbinder die fancy tag two. I inked the edges using Dew Drops VersaMagic Aloe Vera and then attached Happy Birthday.
3. The easel part of the card I have layed the green mat down ensuring not to add adhesive to the top part. I have added a swirl with leaves which has been inked using Dew Drops Versamagic Olive. I attached a couple of pearl gems to the swirls. I have also added a leaf and a flower which I have added a dragonfly brad to the centre and left the flower white.
4. I printed of Mandie onto Neenah card and then cut out using Spellbinder die Rectangle. I coloured her in using watercolour pencils. I then inked the edges using Dew Drops VersaMagic Aloe Vera and then attached to the matt. To finish off I added 4 pearl gems to the corners.

Good Afternoon my crafty friends and followers

Another busy week ahead here in my Crafty Piece of Heaven lots of DT work to do before I go off to Harrogate on Friday. I took time out from DT work today as finished one lot of work and decided to do a card for me this time before I start on another lot of DT work. I got my 2 new CD's from Jem's Designs called Beautiful and Exquisite and I just HAD to have a go at one of them. The beautiful won this time and I chose Angela. There are some exquisite designs on this CD and I am sure you will love this.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is A4 Centura Pearlescent white card.
2. I printed off from the CD backing paper with paper curl and the decoupage sheet.
3. I added brown organza ribbon down the right hand side on the backing paper before laying this down.
4. Cut out the first and third decoupage image and layered these down.
5. I made a bow using brown organza ribbon, 2 hat pins with gold heads and beige flowers to make the spray.
6. Down the ribbon I added 3 small roses and then added the sentiment.

Jug full of Joy

Happy Sunday everyone
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I am busy again this weekend with lots of crafting DT work. I hope to be able to post them in future posts. This is my last weekend this month at home. Next weekend I am in Harrogate helping Kay and then I am home for 2 days then off to Birmingham again helping Kay. When I get home from Birmingham hubby has a few days off so we can spend time together until I go off the Hayling Island for the Create & Crafting weekend. This will be my first time back in Hayling Island since I was a young child as my Dad was based down there when he was in the Royal Marines. Anyway onto my card for you all. It is a Mother's Day card which is next Sunday. Where is this year going?

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is A5 which I found in my stash. It has butterflies on it in different shades of green.
2. I have added self adhesive ribbon in pale green up the left hand side. To the right of the card top and bottom I have added gems from my stash.
3. The matt is cut out using one of my Spellbinder dies to which I have added the topper which I have had for a long time and found while tidying a few weeks ago. It is dufex die cut and I have layered this up using Pinflair.
4. The sentiment says "Happy Mother's Day".
5. The verse inside the card reads "Just to say... You are more than a mother to me, you are also my best friend Happy Mother's Day.

Recipe & Method

1. White 5 x 5 base card
2. First layer is pale lemon card cut out using my Spellbinder Square die. Second layer is deeper yellow which I have placed at an angle.
3. Printed off Baby Gabby Giraffe onto supersmooth white card and cut out using Spellbinder scalloped square die.
4. I have coloured Gabby in using my watercolour pencils and then using Dew Drops Versaink straw I have stippled the edges.
5. To finish off I have added a couple of teddies, a heart button and a sentiment for a baby's christening.

Carrie Swan Princess

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

It is lovely and sunny here in Warrington with lovely blue skies and fluffy clouds but very chilly. A couple of weeks ago I won over at Elphine House challenges and was able to choice 2 stamps as my prize. I love Elisabeth Bell's stamps and this is my new favourite at the moment. These stamps came all the way from Australia and took a week to arrive, how quick was that!!

Another busy day here in Linda's Crafty Piece of Heaven, lots of Design Team work to do which I can't show at the moment but once I get the all clear I will be bombarding you all with my work. I wish you all a happy crafty day and thank you for all your visits, you make my day.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban Crafts which is A5 and white. The base layer is from K & Co from my stash.
2. Using scraps from my box I have used a piece of Kanban card and using Spellbinder's lables twenty I have cut out the second matting layer. I have also used the same die for cutting out the topper too. For the swirls I have used the same piece of card and used Floral Flourishes from Joy Crafts
3. I stamped the image using Momento ink pad and coloured Carrie in with watercolour pencils. The grass and the water in the pond I have used Spectrum Noirs. Using my quickie clue pen I have glittered her wings.
4. Before layering the first matt I have added some lace and also made a bow using the same lace. I have added roses and two hat pins with pearl head. On the bottom right hand corner I have added some beautiful pearl swirls.

Steampunk Beauty

Afternoon friends and followers

I can't believe where today has gone!!! I did plan to post this earlier but so engrossed in other DT work that before I knew it it was nearly 5.00 pm. Following all the amazing comments you left me from yesterday's post showing my steampunk samples for Jem's Designs I have made this card especially for YOU my lovely friends and followers. My style in card making is so eclectic which is just fun as I never know what each day will bring in my crafting. I hope you all enjoy seeing today's post and enjoy the rest of your day no matter what you are doing.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is 8 x 8 square. The first layer is a piece of card from my stash which is embossed which I have sanded of the sheen and distressed with Adirondak mushroom.
2. From the steampunk pack of paper which you can purchase from Jem's Designs. I cut out the girl in the cog and the hat.
3. Using Spellbinder Sprightly Sprocket dies by Donna Salazar I cut out the six dies using matt silver pearlescent card which I then distressed using Adirondak mushroom.
4. I arranged the largest cog at the top and then added the steampunk sentiment down with a brad. I then positioned the girl undernearth this and used two more of the cogs and added buttons to the centre. After cutting out the hat I cut into the brim and added black lace and a white feather then placed onto the card. The rest of the cogs I arranged on the card and added another button and brad to them. To finish off the hat I added grey gems and another button.

This card is my way of saying a very big thank you to all your lovely comments and to also thank Susan, Linda and Sheenagh for giving me the opportunity of working with such fantastic materials.

DT samples for Jem's Designs

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

Well it is rather chilly here in Warrington! I woke this morning to a frosty morning and very misty, it still hasn't cleared yet. I hope you are all keeping warm and happy crafting. Before I go and get some more DT work finished I wanted to show you my samples that I made for Sue Andrews for her show this morning. I was totally honoured to be asked by Sue to be part of her Design Team and my samples were shown on the 10 o'clock show. So without further ado here are my cards.

I must say that I did love the sheets they were a dream to cut into and the CD is fabulous. On a couple of my cards I combined the 2. The last one is the pocket wallet which I turned into a handbag by adding a chain and a fastner at the back.

Thinking of You

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

Monday morning the sun is shining even though it is chilly and sat here in my craft room what a perfect start to the week. After a busy weekend at the craft show in Leigh with Kay Rutter it is nice to be playing again. I have a quick post for you all today as I have a really busy week this week with DT work etc but will be posting everyday as usual. You just have to take a couple of hours a day to craft for yourself. I hope you all have a fabulous Monday.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card was a sheet of A3 which I cut to A4. This card I bought from My Craft Studio in a pack with small spots on one side and big spots on the other. There was a range of colours too.
2. I added a strip of white and lilac striped card along the centre of the card then added the sentiment "Thinking of You" from my stash.
3. The butterflies are from Cuttlebug and I forgot I had them! I cut three out and then embossed them all using the different embossing folders that came with the die cut. These have been cut out using a scrap piece of mutted pearlescent card I found in my stash. I have then placed them on the card.
This was a quick and simple card to make as I wanted something that was clean and simple. I found it really difficult to this type of card as I do love adding other embellishments to my cards.

Paper Roses

Good evening my crafty friends and followers

Whew what a busy day I have had today. I was at a craft show today helping my friend Kay Rutter (Hougie Board creator) at Leigh and it was an early start 6.00 to set up so I was up at 4.30 and I am shattered now but I wanted to post this card that I made the other day. You might be wondering why I called this "Paper Roses" well I was inspired by the song sung by Marie Osmond in 1973. I wonder how many of you were fans of the Osmond like myself!!!!

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban Crafts. The first layer is also from Kanban their new Candy core card. I have cut out using Spellbinder scalloped circle then embossed using the new double sided Mbossabilites from Spellbinders. I have then sanded off the first layer and inked with Dew Drops VersaMagic Aloe Vera.
2. I cut out an oval using Spellbinder die and stamped the flower girl from Elisabeth Bell. I have coloured her in using my watercolour pencils. I then used Sakura glitter pen to draw faux stitching around the embossed oval.
3. The swirls are made up of die cuts from Memory Box. I have then added lilac paper roses from my stash as well as the sentiment which reads "Best Wishes".

Creations by Gill M Challenge - Shaped Dimensional Card

WOW March already, where is this year going? Well it is time for our Monthly challenge over at Creations by Gill M and this month's challenge is shaped dimensional card. Here is my card for this challenge.

The base of the card is floral shaped from Hunkydory. I have made the focal of the card a sentiment which reads "Hope your Birthday blossoms into lots of Dreams Come True!" I have placed the centre piece higher using foam tape. The flowers are from the Glitter Girls floral box. I didn't want to over power the card as it has some lovely glittered hearts. I look forward to seeing your dimensional cards.

Lil Ragamuffin Nellie & Duckies

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

Well it looks like it is going to be another glorious day here in Warrington. I hope the weather is nice wherever you are and you have a fabulous Friday!

Today over at Scrapbook Stamp Society the Society Girls are posting their projects from the new releases and I hope you can hop on over to the blog and have a look. There are some amazing projects and why not enter our challenge this month which is Garden Patch. I have chosen Nellie with the cutest ducks which I am going to send to my mum for Easter.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is pearlescent pink Centura card which I have scored to make an easel card.
2. I printed off the image onto Neenah card and then coloured in using my watercolour pencils. I then cut this using Spellbinder labels 23 and distressed around the edges using Dew Drops VersaMagic pixie dust.
3. Using Spellbinder dies Lattice Motifs and Accents design by Sue Wilson I cut out the corners, the border and the ribbon holder with white pearlescent Centura card.
4. I placed the border onto the folded front of the easel and placed the topper over this. The corners were added to the base of the card and I threaded pink iridescent ribbon to either side of the ribbon holder and adhered to the strip of card which I had inked using Dew Drops Brilliance ink pearlescent orchid.
5. I have added gems to the corners, ribbon holder and top right hand corner of the card; the flowers are from my crafty stash.

Destmet Design DT Challenge Card

WOW March already!

I hope you are all well and having a good day. Well today is the first challenge over at DesmetDT challenge blog and it is our first challenge with the new design team who have joined Marie and Lindsay. The theme is ANYTHING GOES a nice easy one for you to enter and we look forward to seeing your creations.

Here is my DT card and I hope you will hop along to my DT colleagues to see their fabulous creations too.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban which I have stamped using perfect medium butterflies and toadstools. I have then stippled the top of the card using Tim Holtz distress ink in broken china and the bottom using Vintage Photo. I then stamped the butterflies again and embossed using a variety of powders. I also stamped the toadstools and using WOW embossing powder in bark I embossed these.
2. I stamped the Fawn onto Neenah card stock and then cut out using Spellbinder scalloped oval. I coloured the image in using my watercolour pencils and then using Dew Drop VersaMagic Wheat coloured the area around the image then using broken china just highlighted the top of the topper.
3. I have threaded some raffia through the side of the card and tied in a knot.
4. I have added a butterfly, snail and leaves from my stash. The stamps are from Desmet Designs and called Neighbourwood Fawn clear stamps.

Kitten Fairy

Hello my new crafty friends and followers

Today I am late in posting but time has just flown today. I hope you are all keeping well and life is being good to you all. Postie bought me some lovely parcels today. Two from Joanna Sheen and another from Kanban. I have incorporated the two to make this card as I was just itching to use them both. Now as some of you know I have a cat called Tiggy whom I absolutely love and when I saw Joanna Sheen showcase these on Create & Craft I just had to have them!!!!! I have made this for my friend Lesley's Birthday! She will love this as she is crazy about cats like me!!!!

Recipe & Method

1. Card base is from Kanban. The layer of yellow card if also from Kanban called Kandi Core Card which has a yellow core. I embossed this using one of my new Spellbinder Mbossing board which I then using a sand block sanded the layer off. I added a green ginham ribbon and then adhered to the card. I tied some of the same ribbon in the middle.
2. The image is from Joanna Sheen and can be bought here. They are called Cup Kitties and are decoupage sheets. This little kitty looks a little like my Tiggy. I have layered this onto gold pearlescent card and placed it at a jaunty angle. I have used Pinflair Glue Gel to layer up.
3. The finishing touches the flower, gold stems and wasp is from my stash.

Amy's Birthday Blog Hop

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY

Yes my friends I am in a blog hop today and tomorrow to help Amy celebrate her birthday. If you have arrived here from Angela then you are on the right track. If not then you need to start at Amy's blog and hop through all the participants as there is blog candy up for grabs.

Here is my Birthday card for Amy which I have sent to her in Colarado.

Now when Amy sent out the invites to her fellow crafty bloggers she gave us a list of what she likes. One of them was Alice in Wonderland. The digi above is Mad Hatter by the Artist Heather Valentin over at Scrapbook Stamp Society. This is the second time I have used her and it is similar to the last one except I have added a feather to her hat and coloured it predominantely black and pink with some Zebra print card.

My next project is an idea I have been playing with and I am really pleased how it turned out. I made a book using A4 pearlescent card as the base and scored at the centre and then 1 cm either side twice. I added another piece of pearlescent card and below is the result. I have used the paper pack from My Craft Studio which is all about Alice in Wonderland, it was so difficult to choose and I hope Amy liked this.

Butterflies and Flowers

Good Afternoon my crafty friends and followers

I hope you are all well today. I can't believe it is afternoon already, where has this morning gone? Busy doing some DT work and thought it was time to post a little creation I made yesterday for you all today.
I love purple in all its many hues and I was really struggling to make a card at all yesterday, I think because my head was full of ideas for DT work that making a card just for me was hard. Anyway I hope you like this card I have made for you all.

Recipe & Method

1. My card base and topper are from Kanban Crafts.
2. I have used Dew Drop Brilliance Pearlescent lavender to ink around the edges of the card. I have used a butterfly from on of Kanban stamp kits which I have embossed using Silver embossing poweder.
3. To the topper I have added the matching acetate as a dome and attached to the base of the card.
4. I have added gems and an acetate butterfly to the frame.
5. The flowers and the sentiment are from my crafty stash.

Birds of a Feather

Afternoon my crafty friends and followers

Well had a lovely meal out with my sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter Alice and hubby. Alice is now walking and is just a little cutie. Back home now and in my craft room and I have got a busy 4 days ahead of me getting DT work done and some more admin to finish off. I hope you are all keeping well and here is my offering for you today.

Recipe & Method

1. Kanban 5 x 5 shaped card which I have distressed using Dew Drop VersaMagic Aloe Vera.
2. Using Spellbinder Lattice Rectangle Dies I have cut out 3. I have distressed 2 of them using Dew Drop VersaMagic Thatched Straw and on of the using the Aloe Vera. The larger of the dies I have threaded cream ribbon through and tied in a bow.
3. The stamps came free with my Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. Using Adirondack in Lettuce I have stamped the image onto the central panel and another bird on the bottom right hand corner.
4. The flock of birds at the top of the card are from a collection of Tim Holtz. I have stamped the greeting from my crafty stash onto a small rectangle "Let's Celebrate".

Ditzy-Craftymess DT Red & Pink Chosen by Sue

Good Morning my crafty friends.

It is our 3rd fortnightly challenge over at Ditzy-Craftymess and Sue has chosen our theme for this fortnightly challenge. I look forward to seeing your creations for this challenge. Here is my project for this challenge.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is A4 Hunkydory card scored in half and then the front of the card has been scored in half again and folded back.
2. Pink mirri card has hearts on and has been cut out using Spellbinder scalloped rectangle.
3. The acetate I have die cut using Spellbinder scalloped rectangle after I had inked using black in and dusted over with Cosmic shimmer powders.
4. Attached acetate to the mirri card using brads then attached to the card.
5. I have made a posy using black and pink flowers then added a hat pin ribbon and butterfly.

I hope you are all well and having a crafty Friday. As usual I am busy in my crafty piece of heaven. Brain is buzzing with lots of ideas I have!!! So many ideas so little time. I can't believe it is nearly 1 o'clock already where has this morning gone? Here is a quick card I have made and I hope you like it. I do so love my Elisabeth Bell stamps and this is one I have used before but just love it!

Recipe & Method

1. Card base is from Kanban which has a curved edge.
2. First layer is white card stock which I have covered using black lace and layered onto the base.
3. I stamped the image and then cut out using Spellbinder fleur-di-leis rectangle die. I have coloured the image in using my watercolour pencils. Distressed the edges using pastels Magneta from PanPastelUK.
4. Down the right hand side I have added some lace and then added flowers and swirls.

Lavender Flower Fairy

Hello my dear Friends & Followers

Today is just a quick card I made today while catching up on things that needed my attention from while I was away. I am still shattered as yesterday we had the plasterer in and you know the mess and dust that creates so I spent all afternoon and early evening cleaning up the whole of the house to bring it back up to my standard :).

Another bit of news again for you is that Marie has asked me to be part of her design team over at Desmet Designs. Also I am now the International Coordinator for Scrapbook Stamp Society so guess who is going to be very, very busy. I am so excited about all this and as a couple of my friends have said "It is my lucky year" long may it continue :)

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is 8 x 8 pearlescent in white. I have matted silver holographic card but before adhering to the card I have added lilac lace and then matted onto the white card.
2. Using Neenah card I have cut out using Spellbinder labels 23 and stamped the lavender flower fairy and coloured her in using a combination of watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens.
3. I distressed the edges using pastels from PanPastelUK in violet. I adhered this to the holographic card using different depths of shaker tape so give it dimension.
4. I have added gems to 3 of the corners and a ribbon with a butterfly charm. The flowers and the gem spray were added using Pinflair glue gel.

WOW Have I got News For You!

Well my dear blogging friends and followers

What a weekend this has been. I have been walking on cloud 9 since Sunday and still there! As some of you may be aware I am so proud to announce that I have been asked by the lovely Susan Andrews and Linda Ormsby to be part of their Design Team, Jem's Designs. As many of you know I am very much a fairy and butterfly girl and proud of it too so when I was asked to send them samples so they could see my designs in the flesh so to speak and they were so delighted with them that now I am part of this fabulous company's Design Team. I was really lucky to meet these two lovely ladies at the Trade Show on Sunday and we hit it off straight away. So you can all imagine that I was on a high all weekend.

My next bit of news is that Mike and Ian over at Krafyhands put out a call asking for bloggers if they were interested in joining their design team. You can see these two lovely lads at most of the big shows up and down the country. I have known them for quite a while and of course put my name down. Wow I was so surprised that they offered me the position and of course I said YES!!!! I love their CD's and have already used them on some of my cards which have appeared on my blog already. Especially in one of the blog hops I have done! You can check out their website here. They also have their own blog to http://kraftyhands.blogspot.com. I am looking forward to working with the other new members of the design team too.

Now for my third bit of news which was only confirmed today!!! Sharon who is the owner of Glitter Perfect has asked me to be part of her Design Team making samples for the shows. She has the most amazing glitters and I LOVE glitter! You can see Sharon all over the country as she does the craft shows and this is how I met Sharon! Once I have the blog button on my blog if you go to her website from my blog you will automatically get discount on any of her products! She has the most amazing range of glitters as well as stamps, dies, embossing folders and of course glitters.

Well I got to Birmingham late afternoon on Saturday and met up with Kay and Karen. Booked into the hotel and then went for tea. It was an early start on Sunday as the show opened at 9.00 am and finished at 6.00 pm. It was lovely to see a lot of my crafty friends too. Below are a couple of photographs of Kay, Karen and myself taken on the first day where we look fresh as daisies. By last night we were all shattered.

This is Kay and I, I have known Kay now for about 3 years and we have been firm friends since I took one of her workshops. We have such a fun time at shows and long may this continue. She is a real inspiration to me and I just love this woman's sense of humour and we have such good banter.

My Last DT project for Gingerloft

Good morning my crafty friends

Well today I am showing my last project for Gingerloft Challenges. I would like to thank Tami and all the Design Team for being fabulous and I wish them lots of luck for what will be a fabulous year for them .

Today's challenge is all about animals, the challenge is called "It's a Zoo". We look forward to seeing your creations

Recipe & Method

1. Cream A5 base card.
2. Backing paper from My Craft Studio Papercraft Library Men-y Happy Returns.
3. Second layer is cream patterned pearlescent paper from my crafty stash.
4. Lion cub Digi from Gingerloft which I cut out using one of my Spellbinder dies. I then traced the lion onto tracing paper and then used it as a mat so I could stamp trees and grass. I coloured the lion in using my watercolour pencils.
5. Using My Craft Studio graphic programme I have manipulated the backing paper and the punches to create a sentiment and cut it out using circular Spellbinder die and then using rafia I have cut out some of these to place behind the sentiment.

Canterbury Bell Flower Fairy

Hello my crafty friends and followers especially my new followers :)

Today is just a quick post before I travel down to Birmingham for the Trade Show. I made this card yesterday so I could post this today. I hope you like it! As many of you know I love fairies and butterflies and I haven't used this little fairy in a long time. Even though I won't have access to a computer while I am away I have ensured that there is a post everyday for you to see. Have fun!!!!

Recipe & Method

1. Base Card is 8 x 8 pearlescent card.
2. Printed off two backing papers from Flower Fairies CD from Crafter's Companion one in brown and the other blue. Matted the brown layer first and I have used one of my punches to punch a fancy border on the blue and then added brown and cream ribbon around the border and layered this down. I have added 3 blue buttons.
3. Stamped Canterbury Bell using Momento ink then coloured in using my watercolour pencils. I have highlighted his wings with Sakura glitter pen. Cut him out using Spellbinder Scalloped Oval die. Distressed the bottom of the oval with Dew Drops Versamark in wheat and the top using Adirondak cloudy blue. To finish off I have added brown gems around the scalloped edges.
4. Looped some blue ribbon and fastened down using brown and cream buttons. The sentiment is from my stash to which I have added to brown pearls.

Garden Nellie By Sherri Baldy

Wow Friday already! I hope all my followers and friends are well and keeping warm, we are in for another cold snap this weekend brrrrrrrrr.

As you all know I am on the Design Team for Scrapbook Stamp Society and I was asked to make a card using one of the new Digi's by Sherri Baldy who is an amazing American artist. Please check out the blog and the digi shop to see what fabulous digi's there are not only from Sherri but also from Heather Valentin, Morgan Fitzsimons to name but a few. Recipe & Method

1. Base card is white pearlescent measuring 8 x 8.

2. The arch and green backing is from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch Kit. I have coloured the arch using Dew Drop VersaMagic ink Tattered Straw.

3. I have added daisies from my stash as well as the roses to the swirls which I coloured in using Aloe Vera VersaMagic Ink. The bee I have left white so it stood out.

4. Down the right hand side this is paper self adhesive ribbon which is I have coloured in using my Spectrum Noirs in yellow and green. The sentiment is from my stash.

5. I have printed off Garden Nellie onto Neenah card and coloured her in using my new watercolour pencils. I have fuzzy cut around her and attached her to the card.

Night at the Premier

Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers

Well I had to put my thinking cap on for this card as I wanted to showcase these 2 new digi's from Scrapbook Stamp Society. I fell in love with these 2 digi's and I hope you like them too. I had an idea on how I wanted to display these images, I played around with some copy paper to see if it would work, I tweaked here and there then it came together, I am really pleased with this card. These digi's are drawn by the lovely Heather Valentin! They are called Hollywood Starlet and Charlette Chaplin. You can purchase Charlette here and Hollywood Starlet here.

Recipe & Method

1. The base card consists of card depicting a curtain which is from Kanban and came in the Dance kit from a few years ago. The pink card is textured and also from Kanban which I have cut into the shape of drawn curtains. I have sanded the pink card and then using Dew Drops Brilliance in Platinum distressed over them. I have added silver grey ribbon and a tassle to each side of the pink then attached to the base.
2. Using My Craft Studio graphic programme I have printed off a star after adding the names of the digi's.
3. I printed Charlette and Hollywood Starlet onto Supersmooth card and then coloured then in using a combination of watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens.
4. Finally using my star punch I punched stars out using holographic silver card and glitter card.
5. I threw roses at the card and photographed them where they landed, just like in real life!!!!

Playing with Clarity Stamps

Afternoon All

I hope you have all had a lovely day today. Hubby went back to work today so I was determined to get some crafting done for me as well as DT work. I have made 5 cards today and thought I would show this one to you as this I made because I wanted to have a play with some of my Clarity stamps. I haven't used the flower stamp before so had a play. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is pearlescent bronze card which I have scored and folded to make the base for an easel card.
2. Using my Spellbinder scalloped rectangle die I have cut out the first layer in cream pearlescent and attached to the card.
3. Using my Spellbinder scalloped rectangle die I have cut out in Neenah card.
4. I stamped "Flower" and using scrap piece of paper stamped it again and cut out the "O" to use as a mask. I then stamped some flowers and leaves inside the "O". I then stamped the sentiment and using the large swirl stamp stamped part of this on the left hand side. Then distressed around the card using Big & Juicy Foilage, the yellow ink.
5. The inks I have used for this are, Big & Juicy Foilage to stamp all the images. I have used Adirondak in Lettuce, Mountain Rose and Butterscotch.
6. The stopper on the base of the card is a piece of textured card with a strip of pearlescent cream. I have coloured the twine using Big & Juicy and made a bow. The 2 sunflowers are from my stash.
7. To finish off I have added pearls and gems from my stash.

Be my Love

Happy Valentine's Day to all my crafty friends and followers

Today I have made a card for you all as a thank you for all your support. I hope you have all had a lovely day and got a card and present. My hubby and I still treat each other even though it is the day after our Wedding Anniversary.

Recipe and Method

1. Card base is from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch Kit.
2. I have cut out a piece of holographic card the shape of the base card which is pink with hearts.
3. I have stamped the image which is from Bells & Whistles by Elisabeth Bell onto Supersmooth card and cut out using one of my Spellbinder dies. I then coloured her in using my watercolour pencils. I have distressed the edges using Pan Pastels UK pastels in red. I have added 2 gem hearts to the top corners.
4. The heart shape doily I have had for a very long time and found them when I was sorting out!!! I have covered this with Red pastel. I then added a heart, red and cream roses with pink ribbon and a large heart gem.
5. The sentiment say's "With Love" unfortunately it doesn't show up too well on the photograph.

Pearls and Lace

Good Morning my dear crafty friends and followers

Today is my 13th Wedding Anniversary and my dear hubby is taking me out for the day. We are going to have a day together as I have been out at the show last weekend and then this weekend coming up I am going to the Trade Show at the NEC. I can't believe how time has just flown by but I have a very loving and supporting hubby. Well less about me going on and here is my card.

Recipe & Method

1. Centura pearlescent card in lilac. I cut out and embossed using roses border Spellbinder. I coloured this with chalks and used hairspray to prevent it wiping off. I attached to the end of the card.
2. First layer is a piece of floral paper from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch collection and cut out an oval. I have attached white lace ribbon around the oval the attached to the card base.
3. Stamped one of my SWALK stamps onto Neenah card and cut out using Spellbinder scalloped oval. I coloured the image using my watercolour pencils and then using Dew Drops Brilliance in Pearlescent lavender distressed the rest of the card. I attached purple pearls around the edges.
4. I have added a sentiment from my stash. I have used one of my floral charms and attached this to a lilac bow.

Fairy & Butterflies

Good Evening my crafty friends and followers

Well I have been busy today catching up on some DT work and I still have a lot more to do. I have a fabulous few days at Manchester catching up with old and new friends. I was really shattered last night so just spent the night going through my emails and posting comments on my fellow bloggers posts. I have managed to do a card for you today and I hope you like this.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is 5 x 5 scalloped card from Kanban
2. The design is from My Craft Studio CD Walk in Wonderland 1. I have used the graphics programme and layered this beautiful topper onto sky backing paper which I changed the colour and then using the digital punch punched out the topper as a scalloped square.
3. I have glittered the fairies wings with glitter.
4. The butterflies are cut using my Spellbinder butterfly dies. Before laying down the topper I have added a piece of acetate to which I have attached the black butterfly which has been embossed with WOW black glint powder. The white one (although it doesn't show on the photo) has been glittered on the embossed areas.
5. To finish off I have added 4 black pearls to the 4 corners.

Carl the Snowman

Wow where has the last 2 weeks gone???????? We had a fabulous response to our first challenge. Thank you so much for entering. It is time for our 2nd challenge over at Ditzy-craftymess Challenge and this time we want to see your Winter and Snowmen. This fortnight we are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish who gave us a selection of her winter theme collection of digi's to choose to make our card. I chose Carl the snowman and here is my project.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is 6 x 6 which I have added the back of a card that I had in my stash which has lots of little dots in soft grey's white and blue which reminded me of snow. I have sprayed the front of the card using Crafter's Companion Spray and Sparkle in Silver.
2. I printed Carl the Snowman off onto Super smooth card and using my Spellbinder lacey ovales cut him out.
3. I have coloured Carl in using watercolour pencils and used Sepia Accents on his cheeks and Cosmic twinkles on the edge of his gloves and bobbles of his scarf.
4. Punched out snowflakes using my Martha Stewart snowflake corner punch in pale blue and royal blue mirri card.

Love Me Love My.........................................FAMILY

Hello My Crafty Blogland Friends and Followers

Today we are having a blog hop which is hosted by Gill over at Creations by Gill M. If you have arrived here from Gill you are on the right track. If you have just visited then why not take part in the hop and go back to Gill's and start the hopping as I can guarantee there are some fabulous projects to see.

Well this has caused me no end of headaches! What shall I do? What do I love? I went through a long list but found I had already done them and wouldn't want to repeat myself so after having a chat with my hubby (he comes in handy sometimes!!) I decided that the most important thing for me is my immediate family. As a lot of you know I became a grandmother for the first time last January and I have made 2 scrapbook pages. I am still a novice at this but I hope you like my attempts.

The first page is of Alice immediately after she was born. Isn't she just a cutie, she is growing so fast but this is my first page and I plan to do a lot more.

The second scrapbook page is about my 50th birthday in September 2010, gosh where do the years go! The photograph is of my hubby Rick, my sons Korhan and Veli, Veli's partner Holly, Lesley my best friend whom I regard as my sister and my stepson Luke. My family all joined me for a fabulous night of celebrate. This is a night I will definitely never forget.

Pink & Blue Butterflies

Morning my crafty friends and followers

First of I want to say welcome to all my new followers and thank you so much for joining my little piece of crafty heaven. Today is a quick post before I go and spend the day at Manchester assisting Kay. If you do come along please pop by and say hello it would be lovely to meet you.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban and is A6. I have wound pink and blue ribbon around the card base.
2. First made is a piece of card which is embossed card which I have covered in Dew Drop Versa Magic Pixie Dust.
3. I have used a Kanban stamp which has script and butterflies on I have stamped using Perfect Medium and embossing powder baby blue. I have then used my chalk and coloured it in pale blue. To set the chalk I have sprayed some hairspray and then layered over the 1st layer.
4. I then stamped 3 butterflies using Perfect Medium and WOW embossing powder magenta twinkle.
I have attached the butterflies and used gems from my stash.

Cute as a Lady Love Bug

Hi my crafty friends and followers

Well just a quick post from me as I am heading off to help my good friend Kay Rutter (Hougie Board) at the Manchester Show until Saturday. If you are going please pop by and say hello! It would lovely to meet you if you go. Anyway less of me going on you want to see my card. I have used Heather Valentin's Cute as a Lady Love Bug which you can buy here. Without further ado here it is.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is 8 x 8 Pearlescent card. I have used 2 patterned papers from K & Co (The Best of).
2. Down the diagonal edges where the papers joined I have added lace.
3. The image has been printed on White Supersmooth card and then coloured in using watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens. I then cut out using Spellbinder oval die. Around the oval I have run the Dew Drops Brilliance Silver
4. I have sewn around the oval with some Bakers twine and then I have tied it in a bow adding a heart charm.
5. To finish off I have added Happy Anniversary sentiment (this is for my husband). I have added red pearls and a spray of white pearls and red roses.

Birthday Cake Party

Afternoon my lovely crafting friends and followers

Well another cold one here in Warrington! Spent the morning crafting and taking photographs of DT work and uploading them on my computer. Where has the time gone today!!! Anyway I have a lovely spring-like card for you all today, just to bring a little colour into our lives. Enjoy!!!!

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban and the 2 layers are card from the White Wash Coordinations which I purchased from Crafter's Companion.
2. The green layer I have cut out using my Spellbinder scalloped rectangle die. The yellow layer I have used an embossing folder from Darice. I then distressed both cards and the green card has been distressed around the edges using Dew Drop Versa Magic in Aloe Vera and the yellow card in Thatched Straw.
3. The digi is called Birthday Cake Party and is drawn by the fabulous artist Heather Valentin you can purchase this here. I printed her off onto Supersmooth card then run it through my Grande Calibur using Spellbinder lacey oval.
4. I have coloured the digi using my watercolour pencils and highlighted some areas using my Sakura glitter pens. The icing on the cake I have used precious pearls to give it dimension.
5. I have laced the die with green ribbon and added a yellow bow which is from my stash. Highlighteed the flowers on the yellow card using gems and the finishing touches are 3 buttons again from my stash.

Here Kitty Kitty

Good morning my crafty friends and followers

We today for you I have made a card using one of my new Elisabeth Bell's stamps called "Here Kitty Kitty". I bought them from the Polka Doodles website and there mailing service is fabulous.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is an A4 card from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch kit which I have made into a square card.
2. I have matted a circle doily which I have inked up using Dew Drops Brilliance pearlescent orchid.
3. Stamped the image onto white Neenah cardstock and cut out using one of my Spellbinder dies which I have distressed the edges with the above mentioned ink. I have coloured the image in using my water colour pencils.
4. The sentiment, butterfly and flowers are from the above mentioned kit.
5. The hat pin and gems are from my stash.

Gingerloft Challenge - Love DT

Morning dear crafty friends

It is time over at Gingerloft Challenge Blog for our second challenge of the month and the theme is all about LOVE!

The base card is from Kanban which measures roughly 8 x 8. The image of the lovers kissing I have printed onto Neenah card. I have used my red Sakura glitter pen to outline the heart. I then cut this out using Spellbinder circle die and using PanPastel Artist pastel covered the rest of the circle around the heart. Taking my black Spectrum Noir pens I then ran round the edge of the circle which defines the circle. I took one of my heart doilies and again using PanPastel in black dusted the heart. The embellishments are from my stash. I look forward to seeing your projects for this challenge.

Creations by Gill M Challenge

Good morning fellow crafters

Today over at Creations by Gill M it is time for our new challenge for this month. This month's challenge is colour inspiration and we would love to see your interpretation using the colours below.

Below is my card using the colour inspiration. I do so love blue and brown together.

I have used another of the Hunkydory cards for my base card. The backing paper and the lovely image I took from Beautiful Dreamers which is a CD with the Glitter Girls and Jems Designs working in collaboration. I have added a blue feather under the decoupage and a brown ribbon down the side. I have used peel offs around the base of the decoupage and added blue flowers in a spray and to finish off added a birthday greeting.

Tippy Toes

Good morning my crafty followers and friends

Well it was -3 degree's here this morning when I got up!!!! I am sat here typing this post up looking out of my craft room window and the sky is blue and the shed at the bottom of the garden's roof is covered in ice except for where the sun is shining onto it and the heat coming of the fencing as the ice melts. The birds are flying around and all is quite. Here is my offering for you today. I have used Heather Valentin's Tippy Toes and you can buy this here. As soon as I saw this digi I just had to have it as my granddaughter goes to baby ballet classes and she just looks so adorable in her little tutu!

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is Centura pearlescent in yellow which I have folded to make an A5 card.
2. The first matt is a deeper yellow card which has a lovely texture to it.
3. The second matt is a pale green card which has a lovely silver foiled swirl on it. Before laying this down I have attached yellow polka dot ribbon across the bottom and matted it. I added Happy Birthday sentiment.
4. The frame and paper I have taken from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch kit and this forms the top layer.
5. I have printed Tippy Toes onto Neenah card and coloured her in using my watercolour pencils. I have distressed the edges using Dew Drops Versamagic thatched straw.
6. I have added pearl gems, flowers and leaves from my stash to finish off.
7. This card was made using the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is the sketch below.

Once Upon a Time...............................

Hello my new followers and friends

Well here I sit in my craft room at 1.00 am Thursday morning just finished off doing a bit of admin while all was quiet and finishing off a couple of DT cards. Today over at Scrapbook Stamp Society it is time for our next fortnightly challenge which is "Once upon a Time". I chose to use Rowan 2 by Morgan Fitzsimons for this and you can buy her here.

Recipe & Method

1. 8 x 8 pearlescent card. On the front of the card I have scored diagonally from top left to bottom right to make a twisted easel card.
2. On the base of the card I have added pearlescent silver card and printed of from My Craft Studio Floriography CD the backing paper which before matting I have added purple ribbon then layered over the silver. I have added a Sentiment as the stopper to help the front of the card stamp upright.
3. I have adhered Silver pearlescent card measuring the exact size of the front of the card to the bottom half leaving the top half adhesive free so it will stand when twisted.
4. I have matted and layered rainbow pearlescent card and purple silk art card. The topper I took into My Craft Studio graphics programme and added a base colour before printing this off and colouring her in using Watercolour pencils and Cosmic Shimmer paints.
5. I then layered her onto silver mirri card and then layered over the purple silk card. I have added ribbon and a bead spray to the left and added a purple butterfly from my stash.
6 To 3 of the corners I have added arora burealis gems.

Snow Baby

Good morning to all my crafty friends and followers
another busy day ahead! Today here in Warrington we have lovely blue skies but oh my gosh it is freezing. Went out shopping first thing and it was 0 degrees!!!!
I think this card is apt for today. I have used Elisabeth Bell's Snow Gear Snowbaby stamp which I bought from Polka Doodles website. There service is very quick I ordered Sunday afternoon and it arrived yesterday. So of course I had to use one of them didn't I!!!!!

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Hunkydory which I have added backing paper which I have printed from My Craft Studio Papercraft Library Bunny Snuffles Christmas.
2. Using my Martha Stewart snowflake border punch I punched out the border on white pearlescent card and place diagonally on the card and then added to pearl gems at each end and on the other 2 corners.
3. Piece of white card put through my Cuttlebug and embossing snowflake folder which I then coloured using Dew Drops Brilliance Sky Blue ink pad, then placed this diagonally too.
4. The snowman is from a Hunkydory kit which I have coloured using a combination of watercolour pencils and Cosmic Shimmer paints.
5 Stamped snowbaby onto white card and coloured in using watercolour pencils and used Cosmic Twinkles to highlight her hat, hem of coat and button then cut out using my Spellbinder scalloped oval. I distressed the edges using Dew Drops VersaMagic Aspen Mist.
6. The snowflakes left over from the border I have attached randomly over the card and the sentiment is from Hunkydory too.

Kitten Love

Good afternoon my crafty friends and new followers

Well today I have had a busy morning doing some DT work and other crafting projects too. Today I have a card for you using a digi from Scrapbook Stamp Society by artist Morgan Fitzsimons. I love kittens and when I saw this I just had to have this.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card from Kanban which I have stamped swirls on the base using Creative Expressions stamp using Dew Drop Brilliance pearlescent orchid. I have then layered a piece of mirri card which has swirls on too.

2. I printed the digi out on to Neenah card and then cut out using Spellbinder circle die. I coloured this in using my watercolour pencils. Using Cosmic Shimmer paint pearlescent around the heart and flowers. Using the above mention ink I have distressed around the heart.

3. I have added a pearlescent ribbon to silver mirri card and matted this down onto front of the card.

4. I have punch out using pearlscent card and tumbled them down the card. I have added pearls to the ribbon and over the topper.

WOW nearly a year has gone by since I posted my first post on my blog back in February last year. Where has the time gone. After friends and family telling me for years to set up my own blog I finally took the plunge last year and boy I am so glad I did. In the last year I have made so many new friends and blogging and crafting has helped me through some bad times last year! It has been my saviour and kept me sane.

Love is in the Air

Hello my crafty friends and followers

Today my post is all about LOVE! I have used Elisabeth Bell's Belle & Teddy Stamp. I just so love these stamps and was lucky to win this one from a blog challenge over at Elphine House. I have made a clear and simple card as I didn't want to detract from the beauty of the image. Now which little girl doesn't love her teddy bear.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Kanban.
2. Heart shaped doily which is have coloured with Pan Pastel red and adhered to base of card.
3. Stamped Belle onto Neenah card and cut out using Spellbinder circle scalloped die.
4. Coloured Belle in with my watercolur pencils and distressed around the edges of the scallop with Dew Drops Brilliance in Rocket Red.
5. Attached silver heart charm to red ribbon and made a bow.
6. From my stash I found two hearts attached to wire in red and white and added a red rose. The sentiment is also from my stash.

Good Morning Everyone

Today is an exciting time for me as it is my first design team work for our first challenge over at Ditzy-Craftymess Blog. I do hope you will all hop along and take part in our challenge this fortnight which is Anything Goes. For our first challenge too we are being sponsored by Meiflower and offering a £10 gift voucher to one lucky winner of our first ever challenge!!!!

Without further ado here is my project.

Here is a close up of the topper.

Recipe & Method

1. Gift bag bought from one of our stores which you can decorate yourself.
2. Jem's Design new CD Where the Unicorns Roam, I printed off the backing paper, 2 toppers and gift tag onto glossy card
3. Matted and layered the backing paper and one of the jigsaw toppers. The second topper I cut out one of the jigsaw pieces and then layered this over the first layer using foam pads to give dimension.
4. Off set the piece of jigsaw and added card candy to 3 corners of the backing paper.
5. Before printing off the bookmark I used my graphics programme and wrote "A gift for you" then printed it out. I attached lilac ribbon to correspond with the lilac in the design.

Good morning my dear blogging friends.

Today we have a blog hop for you to participate in if you wish. If you have arrived from Doris then you are on the right track. If however you just happened to come straight here and would like to take part in the blog hop then you can go back to Gill's and start from the beginning. You will see some amazing projects from my fellow blogging friends. We were asked to take a picture/photograph and come up with a layout or card. I decided I would like to do a layout for this blog hop and I hope you like what I have created.

After much thought I decided to use 2 photographs of my beautiful cat! She is called Tiggy and is tortoise shell. She us 2 years 5 months old and is a little minx! We have had her for 15 months and she sure does rule the roost. The markings on her back make out the most fabulous bow, I couldn't even get a bow that perfect but we love her to bits.

The 12 x 12 sheet is from my stash and I have had it for a while and can't tell you where I got it from. I just love the colours and the flowers. I have added glitter to the flowers and gold peel off corners. Using my graphics programme I have taken a pale pink with flowers and birds on in black and placed the photograph of Tiggy in the centre of both cards. I have printed them off onto photographic paper. I then layered them over gold mirri card. I have added paw print brads to opposite corners on each card. The butterflies are from my stash too. word Tiggy are chipboard letters which I have embossed using gold embossing powder and added a gem to dot the "i's". The journaling has been written onto a Spellbinder shape which I have written about the photographs.

Tiggy loves nothing better than sitting in the sink and drinking from the tap! She is a little minx as she is often found sitting in her daddy's seat on the settee! As soon as hubby moves she is there like a shot. It is hilarious as when hubby comes back she just gives him a look that says "well it was empty and if you think I am moving huh". She has brought much joy into our lives!

Good Afternoon

Well today here in Warrington we have had hail, rain, sleet and snow!!!! It was lovely this morning and then about 12.30 the sky went black and then boy did it hail stone!!!! It is now raining with sleet and has gone very chilly. Well another busy day here in my piece of crafty heaven, nothing unusal there I hear you say........... and I would agree. I count my blessings everyday being able to spend my day doing what I love to do best!!!

I have again been colouring in a few images from Scrapbook Stamp Society. I have coloured 2 images by the very creative Heather Valentin and her is today's offering of Baby Lainey with Baby Gabby.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is Kanban scalloped card measuring 8 x 8.
2. I have cut out from baby paper from my stash using Spellbinder's circle and scalloped cirle which I have embossed using one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders. I have used Dew Drop Versamagic in Pixie dust to highlight the circle die around the edges and swept the colour over the scalloped die which makes the flowers pop.
3. I printed Baby Lainey out onto Supersmooth card and cut around her using another Spellbinder scalloped circle die. I stippled around the scallops with my stippling brush using the ink metioned above.
4. I have coloured Baby Lainey using my watercolour pencils.
5. Using 2 different widths of lace I have made bows. The narrow lace I have inked and added a teddy bear charm. I have also added a couple of hat pins which I have coloured the beads with Rose Pink one of my Spectrum Noirs.
6. The sentiment is from my stash too.

Maggie, Springtime Girl

Evening Everyone!

I hope you have all had a fabulous day today! I have had a lovely day crafting and my friend came to see me so that was really nice catching up and crafting too. A quick post from me tonight but I hope you like what I have done.

I am in a "blue" mood at the moment! Don't you find times when you just run with one colour for a few of your cards? Well this is the case for me at the moment. I think my next cards will be more spring like! My friend Lexie commented that she would like to feel warm the next time she comes for a visit!!! Watch this space Lexie is all I am going to say :) Below is a close up of Maggie and the embellishments.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch Kit as are the flowers and butterfly.
2. The base card is what I found in my stash and I have coloured it using Dew Drops Brilliance ink in Sky Blue.
3. The paper of the base of the card is from K & Co.
4. The topper I have cut out using one of my Spellbinder Dies after printing Maggie on Supersmooth card. Maggie Spring Time Girl is a Heather Valentin Digi from Scrapbook Stamp Society.
5. I have coloured Maggie in using a mixture of watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens. I highlighted the edge of the topper with Sakura Glitter Pen.
6. The embellishments consist of brodrie anglaise looped 3 times and attached to the card. The blue beaded spray is from My Craft Studio and the flowers I have coloured using Adirondak cloudy blue. I added gems from my stash to the centre of the flowers.
7. The butterfly stopper has been double embossed using holographic embossing powder.

Is there any Justice in the World.........

Morning my crafty followers and friends

The title of this post is from a song by Lemar and fits in fabulously with the card I have made for a friend who is Libra like myself. You may be thinking why has the song got anything to do with Libra, well Libra is the sign of the Scales of Justice and the challenge over at Crafty Boots is "inspired by a song" and combined it with the challenge over at CD Sunday's challenge which is "Zodiac".

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is white pearlescent card scored and folded to make an A5 card.
2. First layer is from Kanban which I found in my fancy mirri card box.
3. Backing paper, topper and words about Libra I have taken from My Craft Studio Celestial & Horizons CD.
4. Flowers and hat pins from my crafty stash as is the border.
5. I have triple embossed the toppers at the top of the card.

Baby it''s cold outside!!!

Good Morning my lovely followers and friends
Well another busy day today! Not long until I can actually craft for myself until the next time. I am not complaining mind, as I LOVE what I do. I hope you all have a lovely day and this is just a quick post.

Recipe & Method

1. White A5 base card with front of card folded at gatefold and folded down to form Easel card.
2. Inside of card has silver pearlescent card which I have used MS snowflake corner punch on all four corners. The stopper is from Hunkydory Christmas kit.
3. Grey blue silk art card cut to A5 and attached to lower half of the folded card. The digi is from Delicious Doodles called Snowy Post Box. I have printed this onto super smooth card and the using Tim Holtz Distress ink stormy sky highlighted the sky. Using glitter I have added glitter to the image over the trees, roof, windows and post box. Using Woodware Fluffy stuff I have added this for dimension around the tree, front of the house and around the post box.
4. To finish off I have used Pinflair sentiment and attached to silk art card and set at an angle. I have punch the top corners of the blue card and using the 4 snowflakes form the silver pearlescent card dotted these around the topper.

Ruby Lil Ragamuffin

Good Morning from a very grey and miserable day here in Warrington. As I am typing this and looking out of the window the garden's look really sorry for itself!!!! I can't wait for Spring now as I have had enough of this cold. Still very busy in my crafty piece of heaven at the moment but needs must at the moment. I hope you are all well and staying warm and of course enjoying your crafting.

Today I have I made in one of my quieter times using Sherri Baldy's Ruby Lil Ragamuffin! I really enjoyed playing with this little mermaid and I hope you like what I have done.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is from Hunkydory which I have covered with some K & Co paper which has lovely shells on it.
2. Printed Ruby off onto Super Smooth card and coloured in using a combination of watercolour pencils and Sakura Glitter pens.
3. Cut topper out using Spellbinder scalloped rectangle and distressed using Dew Drops Brilliance orchid ink. I have glittered her scraf using iridescent glitter.
4. Added gems and ribbon from my crafty stash.

Happy Birthday

Good Crafternoon my new followers and friends

Well we have had all sorts of weather this morning! We have had rain, rain and even more rain. We have blue skies at the moment but as I sit here typing the clouds are rolling in again. I can't wait for the spring to arrive I have had enough now of being cold. Not long now before the clocks go forward and the nights will start to draw out. Anyway just taken some time out to do this posting for you all. It is a birthday card I have made using Sherri Baldy's Happy Birthday digi stamp from Scrapbook Stamp Society.

Recipe & Method

1. Base card is pearlescent white 8 x 8 I have cut off 1½ inches off the front of the card.
2. First layer I have covered the front of the card with paper from K & Co.
3. Second layer is polka dot card from My Craft Studio.
4. I have printed off the "Happy Birthday" digi onto Supersmooth Card which I have cut out using my Spellbinder Rectangle Die. I have coloured her in using my watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens.
5. To complete the front of the card I have added swirls from my stash which I have distressed using Dew Drops Brilliance Sky Blue, added a bow, flowers and glitter gems.
6. Where I have cut the 1½" I have taken a piece of polka dot card and cut a stripe out and before laying down attached brown ribbon. I have then attached buttons and flower gems from my stash.

Lily Pad Dreams

Well here I sit at 11.45 pm just finishing off some of the DT work and going through all my posts and comments I thought I would post again today! This is of course later than I expected to be posting but I got so engrossed with what I was doing, and I am sure you can all relate to that that I just had to post this sweet card I did today.

I coloured this lovely Elisabeth Bell's stamp a few days ago and she has been sitting on my desk and today I just had to make her into a card. This is one of the stamps I won from entering Elphine House challenge.

Recipe and Method

1. Base card is a rocker card from Hunkydory.
2. Lily has been coloured in using my watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pen in pink on her wings.
3. I cut her out using one of my Spellbinder floral dies and then embossed around the petals using WOW embossing powder Magenta Pink. I then added pale pink pearl gems on each petal.
4. I have added clear gems along the back fold on both sides. Placed a lace heart on one side and a pale pink calla lily with bow on the other side. On the base of the card I have added silver gems between each of the flowers.

Get Well Soon

Good Afternoon my dear crafty friends and followers

Well it is rather wet and windy today in Warrington and chilly too. Well one busy week has gone and getting ready for an even busier week next week. Lots of DT work to get done and in crafty heaven. Wednesday I decided to have a move around in my own little piece of crafty heaven. Took me 4 hours but it is all done now and boy am I happy. I needed to sort out my shelves so decided that as the majority of my CD's are on my external hard drive I didn't need them sitting on shelves taking up valuable space which I can fill with other crafty goodies!!! Would you believe I filled a very large box I might add with all my My Craft Studio CD's and other CD's too. OMG I didn't realise I have so many!!!! I will take pictures of my reorganised craft room and post on here at a later date!!!

This is my second of 3 posts today! I made this for one of my forum friends who has been very poorly and wishing her a speedy recovery. I hope you like it and love to hear your comments as always.

Recipe & Method

1. A5 white card folded in half lengthways to make a long DL card.

2. First layer is Centura pearlescent lilac card which before matting I have added some white lace. Unfortunately the picture doesn't do this justice!

3. Silk Art card in a deeper shaed of purple I have cut out using Spellbinder die Fleur de lis. The image is one of my favourites from LOTV which I have coloured in using my watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens. I then cut this out using Spellbinder square die.

4. Using Fleur de lis again I cut out a smaller square onto the silk art card and a small white square in pearlescent white.

5. The flowers are from Dawn Bibby's flower patch which I arranged onto the little square.

6. The gems, butterfly and sentiment are from my stash.

Gingerloft Challenge - Snow

Hello my crafty friends

Well it is time for the 2nd challenge of the year from Gingerloft Challenges. I have used for my design Christmas Door Digi from Gingerloft. I can't believe 2 weeks have passed since we set the last challenge. I look forward to see your interpretations for this challenge.

I have used Centura Pearlescent card for the base. Using My Craft Studio Papercraft Library BunnySnuffles Christmas CD I have picked a wintery background and changed it to black and white, resized to matt onto the card. Once printed I then used Crafter's Companion Spray and Sparkle iridescent and sprayed. Before attaching to the base of the card I added black and silver ribbon. I printed the image onto Super Smooth card and cut this down using black and white pearlescent card for matting and layering. The image I tripple embossed with Cosmic Shimmer thick embossing powder. To finish off using white pearlescent card I cut out snowflakes and placed on the card.

Playing in the Snow

Evening all

I hope you have had a lovely Saturday. I have been to see my parents today, both of them are well so had a good chat to both of them. I came home and did a few jobs around the house then got on my computer and sorted through all my emails and then I have done a few blog hops. I did intend to post this card earlier than this but if you are anything like me you start of with the best intentions then you get so engrossed in looking and commenting on other peoples blogs then get side tracked! Well better late than never I suppose.

Well so far so good in keeping my promise about making Christmas cards every month!! This is my 3rd so far!!!!!

Recipe & Method

1. Card blank is from Kanban
2. First layer is royal blue mirri card which I have cut out using Spellbinder scalloped oval.
3. Topper has been cut out using Spellbinder oval die.
4. Stamp is from the SWALK Winter series which I have coloured using my watercolour pencils. I have added fluffy stuff to the bobble and trims of the hats, around the neckline,cuffs and hem of coat, also the snowballs and underneath the two girls. I have highlighted the falling snow with glitter. The sentiment comes with this stamp.
5. The swirls are from my stash. I have used my Martha Stewart snowflake corner punch to cut out snowflakes using pale blue and royal blue card.

Afternoon All

Busy as usual here in my little piece of crafty heaven working away on DT work. Here is a little something I have made for the Crafty Blogger's Network Challenge, Monochrome. I hope you hop over and take part in this challenge, you never know you could win.

1. White base card measuring 5 x 5

2. First layer is black pearlecent card and second layer is white pearlescent card.

3. Cameo distressed using PanPastel pastels in black, feather added to hat and white pearls.

4. Swirl distressed with Dew Drops Brillance black graphite and white pearls added to swirls.

5. Three black gems added to top left and bottom right.

Melodic Fairy

Good evening my crafty friends

I have had a lovely day today, my friend Linda came for a few hours and we had fun in my craft room. I prepared this card a couple of days ago but finally put it together today. I was using My Craft Studio graphics programme and designing using a variety of different CD's and now I can't remember for sure which CD I made this design with I think it was Illustrious Illusions but I was also using Tattered Lace!

Recipe & Method

1. White pearlescent base card measuring 8 x 8, corner edge punch.
2. Designed and printed of topper and printed off sentiment and backing paper.
3. Using Spellbinder dies cut all the layers printed off as well as silver pearlescent card.
4. Attached all layers to card using double sided tape on 1st layer silver layer is raised using 1mm foam pads and top layer is raised using 2mm foam pads.
5. Sentiment is attached using foam pads.
6. Added the roses and the hat pins with Pinflair Glue.
7. Spellbinder butterflies were cut out and inked using Dew Drops VersaMagic Aloe Vera and attached to the card.

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Hearts and Flowers

Hi everyone

Today over at Scrapbook Stamp Society it is time for their new challenge and it is all about love. We want to see your Hearts and Flower projects so please come on over and join in the fun!!!!

Here is my card which I hope you like and gives you some inspiration.

Recipe and Method

1. Base card is from Kanban.
2. First layer is from my scrap box which I printed off a while ago from one of my CD's
3. Lace heart shaped doily which I have placed offset to the scalloped oval topper.
4. Printed off Sherri Baldy's digi called "Here is my heart" and I coloured her in using my watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens. I have used Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles for the sleeves of her dress.
5. Distressed the edge of the scalloped oval topper using PanPastel pastels in red.
6. I have attached red and silver swirls from my stash, added red and white ribbon and a hat pin with a red heart. I have also added some beautiful red roses to the bottom left hand corner and to finish off added a wooden button which I have coloured red.

Where The Fairies Dwell

Afternoon My Crafty Friends

Today here in Warrington it is raining again but has warmed up. I have had quite a busy morning so far what with shopping and tidying up and finishing off a few projects. Time flies when you are having fun!
I have been playing with my new CD's from Jem's Design's and they are just fabulous so much to choose from and so little time! My first project I used the "Where the Fairies Dwell" and this has lots of lovely fairies on that after an hour or two I decided to use this little lovely for my first card.

Recipe and Method
1. Cut out 2 Spellbinder Grande scalloped circles using pale blue and white pearlescent card and adhered together with double sided tape.
2. Using My Craft Studio graphics programme I designed the circle pyramage using Jem's Designs CD Where the Fairies Dwell.
3. Printed off the backing paper to match the pyramage and cut out using Spellbinder Circle die.
4. Matt and layered the paper and the pyramage using foam pad.
5. Cut out scalloped circle in pale blue and added greeting and two clear flowers from my stash.
6. Added blue and silver card candy from my stash.

Take Flight Fairy

Afternoon my crafty blogland friends

How are you all doing today? I am well very busy but having a good time in my craft room. I have a busy afternoon ahead of me doing some of my project for blog hops I have coming up in the next couple of months. Here is a card I finished last night. I have used Sherri Baldy's Take Flight Fairy. I love fairies and butterflies so I just had to get this fairy. I bought the digi from Scrapbook Stamp Society and there are some amazing digi's. I am saving up now to get some of the stamps and I really want to play with them.

Here is a close up of the fairy!

To make this card I have used the following:

1. A4 white card with gold foiling with flowers and butterflies and A4 pearlescent white card for the back of the card.
2. Creased the card 6 cm in from the left hand side added ribbon then adhered to the white base card.
3. I took a piece of deep cream pearlescent card and layed this down onto the card.
4. Printed off backing sheet with the word Magical through it from My Craft Studio Wonderland CD

5. I printed the fairy off onto Neenah card and coloured her in using my watercolour pencils. The wings I have used my Cosmic Shimmer iridescent watercolour paint and highlighed the strands and leaves with glitter.
6. Using parchment I made a butterfly and used different shades of pink inks to colour.
7. From crafty stash added feather, flowers, hat pins and sentiment.

Sherri Baldy's Lil Ragamuffin Dorothy - Wizard of Oz Series

Hello my crafty friends.

I was really honoured when Sherri Baldy Owner of Scrapbook Stamp Society asked me to use Dorothy on one of my cards. I love Sherri's digis they are just something really special and I couldn't wait to make a start. I just knew immediately the type of setting I wanted to use for this little beauty. I hope you like my card!

The base of the card is 8 x 8 white pearlescent. I have then layered gold mirri card for the first layer. The second layer is what I designed using My Craft Studio Wonderland CD Disc 2. I have manipulated the background and added butterflies and a dragonfly. I added daisies to the corner of the backing sheet and then printed it off onto Glossy card. I printed Dorothy off onto Neenah card and then I coloured here in with my watercolour pencils and positioned her on the bottom step. I have coloured her in shades of lilac and gave the pussy cat lovely green eyes. I have added lilac ribbon to the top left hand corner and the daisies in the bottom right hand corner are from my stash.

Flower Girl

I would like to say hello to all my new and exciting followers!

Today here in Warrington it is lovely and sunny but oh my goodness it is very very cold. Looking out my window it looks like a clear Summer day, but it isn't. With Spring in mind I made this card encouraged by the lovely blue skies here.

The base card is from Dawn Bibby's Flower Patch Collection. This is an absolutely fabulous collection and I am very pleased with my purchase. The inside of the card I have covered with pearlescent paper which has swirls and flowers on and added the greeting which says "Just for You". The image is a new stamp that I won from a blog challenge over at Elphine House she is called Laura flower girl. I have used this image before on another card and just had to use her again. I have coloured her in using my watercolour pencils and using Dew Drops Versamagic ink in Thatched Straw coloured the edge of the topper which was cut out using one of my trusty Spellbinder dies. I took a flower from my stash and took it apart to follow the line of her dropping petals and coloured them with the same ink as mentioned above. The rest of the flowers around the archway are from the above mentioned kit.

Tango

Evening All

I hope you have all had a great weekend crafting! Today I have had visitors and been hopping on and off when I could to see what you have all been up today. This is something I made yesterday! Wouldn't you like to be able to do the tango? I know I would especially the Argentinian Tango!!

The base card is from Kanban and has musical notes which I cut down to make a square card. The notes have lovely red foiling. The first layer is black which I have put through my cuttlebug using my muscial embossing folder. I then took the top layer off and dusted over this using PanPastel Artists Pastels in red and then cut out using one of my Spellbinder dies to cut this out. The digi is from The Paper Shelter which I won from one of their challenges. I coloured her in using my watercolour pencils and lightly dusted the base of the area with black PanPastel. I have added the stripe of musical notes and dusted lightly with the red pastel. I added the red star gems to the top layer and the ribbon and flowers are from my stash.

Two for Tea and Tea for Two

Evening Everyone

Well I can't believe it is nearly 6 o'clock already!!! Where has today gone?!!! I have been really busy today getting some DT work done and projects sorted for the blog hops I am in over the next couple of months. I just like to be ahead of the game and my hubby tells me I am just tooooooooooo organised for my own good :)

The card base is 5½ x 5½, I have folded the front of the card in half. On the front of the card it is layered with silk art card in purple and the second layer is printed off from My Craft Studio Celebration Collections Ladies NSR. Using my graphics programme I have resized and layered it over the first layer. The cups of tea are also resized and I changed the colour to match the colours of the card. On the inside of the card I have resized the topper and added Happy Birthday. The topper is cut out using a Spellbinder die. I have stamped the image using Memento ink and coloured them in using my watercolour pencils. Then using one of my swirls stamps I have embossed using lilac melt dust from My Craft Studio. Below is the inside of the card.

Pink Posies and Pearls

Evening All

As promised here is my second post for today. Totally different from the first one I posted and thank you to everyone who commented. I have had a heck of a morning after I posted my first card. Facebook and blogger where not playing nice for me today so ended up turning computer off and pottering about colouring in some of my digis I had printed off. Here is one of the cards I have made so far today.

The base of the card is A5 which I have punched all 4 corners using my rounded edge punch. I then used a piece of K & Co papers and adhered this to the base of the card. Across the centre of the card I attached lace and ruffled this. The second layer is pale pink pearlescent card which I have embossed using one of my Cuttlebug folders then removed the top layer over the embossing and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in spun sugar. I printed the image which is Laura Flower Girl drawn by Elisabeth Bell. I have cut her out using my Spellbinder die Lacey Ovals. I have laced pale pink ribbon through the loops and coloured Laura in using my watercolour pencils. I have added pearls to the embossed areas on the pale pink card. The feather and flowers are from my stash.

C is for...............................

Morning my dear crafty friends

Well today I am going to be crafting away. I have some new digi's that I am going to colour in and make into cards, I love colouring and find it soooooo therapeutic, I like listening to my music singing away while colouring. I hope you are all well and have a fabulous Friday. I hope to post again later today with one of my cards.

Well I bet you are all wondering what C is for! Well let me introduce you to Cheyenne! She is one of Kenny K's digi's, I had to have her as she will be ideal for a male member of the family!!!!

The base of my card is Spellbinders Grande scalloped oval I have cut 2 out in pearlescent silver card. On one of the scallops I have 2" down from the top and affixed this to the other card so that it will stand. In pale pink pearlescent card I have cut out using a smaller scalloped die, the purple card is an oval. I printed Cheyenne out onto Neenah card and cut her out using one of my oval dies. I have coloured her in using my watercolour pencils and then distressed the edges of the oval with Dew Drops Brilliance in Orchid. I have attached buttons and threaded fine ribbon through each button. The sentiment is from my crafty stash.

Wedding Anniversary

Afternoon my crafty friends

Just a quick post from me this afternoon. I made this last night for the challenge over at Fat Pages with Attitude which is "Anything Goes". I will use my fat page for an anniversary card. It is a little bit different to what I usually do but I am pleased with how it has turned out.

I have made this clean and simple. I have used mirri card for the base which measures 4 x 4. I then pierced the 4 corners and the centre and threaded red ribbon around the edge. The topper is pale grey which measures 3 x 3 which I have layered some black lace and secured at the back and layered onto the base. The heart, sentiment and hat pins are from my crafty stash.

Dreamers

Evening all

Well today over on Facebook Ditzy-Craftymess group Shendy set us the challenge today to use lace. After much deliberation I decided to use one of my CD's it is called Beautiful Dreamers and is a disc made in collaboration with Jem's Designs and the Glitter Girls. I just love the images on this CD and decided to go for a different colour than my usual pink and purple for a change.

I have used an 8 x 8 square pearlescent card and rounded the corners with my corner punch. The first layer is grey card I had in my stash I have had for years and don't know where I got it! I then opened my graphics programme and resized the insert from the disc to use as the second layer. I printed this off onto glossy card. I then used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Forest Moss to define the edges and also used the corner punch to round the edges. The two toppers I printed again on Glossy card and cut them out and edged them in the above ink. I attached them to the second layer using Pinflair glue gel and rounded the so the centre was raised. I made a bow using black lace and added some hat pins which are new and a couple of flowers from my stash.

Friendship

Morning my crafty friends

Gosh where has this morning gone!!! Here is a card I made a couple of days ago to send to my friend for no reason just to surprise her with a card. My friend and I have been friends for 13 years and we have been through thick and thin, laughed, cried and had fun together. I hope you all have that very special friend as I truly treasure my friend. I also have lots of new friends and older friends and I value them too.

The base card is from Kanban which I have added lilac shaped card from my crafty stash. The image I stamped onto Neehah card and cut out using Spellbinder dies. I used one of the SWALK stamps from Crafter's Companion. I have coloured this little girl in using a mixture of watercolour pencils, chalks and edged the card in Dew Drops Brilliance Lavendar. I have used a wooden butterfly and using embossing pens in purple embossed to compliment to colours used. The flowers are from my flower box which I purchased from the Glitter Girls and then just added the sentiment.

Girls love Shoes

Hello to my crafty friends and followers

Well after a busy morning going to have my eyes tested and just paid a fortune on eye test and new glasses I had a mooch around the shops and then came home and had lunch! I finished this card yesterday and I am posting it now. I really enjoyed making this card but saying that I enjoy making cards, ATC's, Scrapbook pages. Really enjoying myself with stamps and digi stamps too.

Here is my card for today which I will be entering into a few challenges. I am keeping up with one of my New Year Resolutions and that is to blog every day. So far so good!!!!

The base card is 10 x 7 I have cut out 3 layers using Spellbinder Dies using pink spotted mirri card, pink card with silver spots and white Neenah card. The stamp is one of my new LOTV stamps. I have coloured her in using colouring pencils. I have used chalks in brown and black to define the floor. I printed the sentiment Girls love Shoes using My Craft Studio graphics programme and cut out using Spellbinder Dies circle and scalloped circle. I have used silver swirl peel offs for the 4 corners. The pink and silver swirl are from my stash with the pearl gems.

New Baby Girl

Good Morning Everyone

Well where did the weekend go? I can't believe it is Monday morning already! I have been good this morning so far and sorted all my paperwork out and had a bit of a tidy in my room although I still have to sort out my crafty bits and bobs! I know that when I start it will take me all day so I keep putting it off!!! I have had a lovely weekend crafting, I have coloured in a few images for challenges and sorting out some design team work for future challenges that are coming up. Here is a baby card I have made I might give this to one of a couple of friends who are expecting babies.

The base card is 8 x 8 pearlescent card to which I have added some borders I found in my stash. I have taken pink card stock and holographic mirri card and cut them out using my Spellbinder dies. The pink card has then been embossed using one of my new cuttlebug folders. I stamped this lovely baby onto white card stock then cut it out to match the pink and holographic layers. I have used my colouring pencils to colour her in. Using chalk I have lightly shaded the area underneath her but it doesn't show up well in the photograph. The ribbon is self adhesive which I positioned top right and bottom left. I have added flowers from my stash and then using very fine ribbon threaded this through the buttons and tied. The gingham ribbon I have tied into a bow and placed at the top left. This card has been made using the sketch from Totally Papercrafts.

Let It Snow

Afternoon my crafty friends and followers

Well in keeping with one of my New Year Resolutions on making 2 Christmas cards a month this is the first one for this month! There are a couple of challenge blogs which are just about Christmas so this will give me the incentive to keep on making them and save me from getting into a right pickle come the end of the year!!!

The base card is 6 x 6 square. I have taken a piece of black pearlescent card and run it through my Cuttlebug using my snowflake embossing folder. I then cut it into equal parts and layered these down into the four corners. The next layer is taken from My Craft Studio Papercraft Library Winter Whimsies which I have altered the colour to black and white and added the wording "Let it Snow". I printed off 2 of these and cut out the main focal image of the snowmen. Before layering the top layer I embossed using thick embossing powder to give it a real shine to it. The photograph doesn't show how it really shine. I then used some of my scraps white pearlescent card and punched out the snowflakes using my Martha Stewart punch and added little iridescent gems to the centre of each snowflake.

Gingerloft 1st Challenge DT

Good Morning everyone

I hope you are all having a super weekend so far. Well today is my first design as a DT member of Gingerloft Challenges. This first challenge of 2012 is "ANYTHING GOES". Here is my card using the Sunflower Digi.

The card base is A6 with scalloped edges from Kanban. I have taken a piece of sunflower paper and layered this over the base of the card and cut out to match the shape of the base card. I printed the digi off onto smoe Neenah card and using watercolour pencils lightly colour the leaves and the petals in. I have then used Dew Drops Brilliance gold ink and covered the whole of the image and using sticky pads layed it onto the card to give it dimension. I have added a lemon bow with a gem and added some sunflowers from my flower stash and added gems to them too.

Decoupage Challenge over at Creations by Gill M

Good morning

Today over at Creations by Gill M it is the first challenge of this year. A nice easy one for you to get back into the swing of taking part in challenges.

White square base card which I have added embossed layer which I have used Spellbinder Impressabilites flourish. I then distressed this using Tim Holtz vintage photo. The second layer I have distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Distress ink dried marigold. The image is one of the flower fairies from Crafter's Companion and is of course Marigold herself. I have added card candy, gold peel off and sentiment from my stash. The flowers in the top left hand corner are also from my stash.

Well after a great deal of thinking about what I will do I have decided to do bees and their beehives.

I have used my Silhouette to cut out the beehives and some of the bees. I have attached black ribbon and added a bell to each ribbon. I found some Winnie the Pooh peel offs in my stash so added these too, well he does like his honey. To the centre 3 beehives I have added Honey Bee Happy as I hope this will put a smile on the children's faces.

This is the card I made for one of the children. I have used Crafter's Companions Girls CD and printed off the backing paper. The beehive has been cut out with my Silhouette. The bees were from my stash.

Beauty in Blue

Well friends what a day it has been! The weather here has been awful what with the wind and the rain all day as I sit and write this the sky is blue but very cold and the wind seems to have dropped at last!!! I have spent an enjoyable day in my craft room beavering away getting my samples done for Samantha from HobbyFun they will be on display at Bluewater show between the 2 - 5 February.

Here is a card I made last night!

The card base is from Kanban which I have used landscape for a change. I have added paper from my stash which I think too is from Kanban. I used Crafter's Companion Stick and Stay and then placed the paper over the base of the card and cut around this which covers the base. fI have Spellbinder dies that match the base of the card so I have cut out the first layer using Navy blue pearlescent card. The image (I have had a while and can't remember the name of the company) I stamped onto Neenah watercolour card and then cut this out using a smaller die. I coloured the image in with a mixture of watercolour pencils and Sakura glitter pens. I have added Card Candy from my stash. I have added lace and blue ribbon joined together and added white and blue hat pins. To finish this off I have added the sentiment.

Black & Red

Good Evening All my crafty followers and visitors

Here is my second post for today. I have had quite a busy day today and this is the first chance I have had to blog since my pre-scheduled post for my last DT card for Dude Time Doodles.

For this card I have used black pearlescent card and made an A5 card. The front of the card I have scored half way and folded it back on itself. I have then matted Red pearlescent card onto half of the card. On the inside of the card I have matted some white pearlescent card with silver embossed swirls and flowers and then using Pan Pastel in Red covered the card and then buffed it up using a tissue which has made the embossed areas "popped". The stamps is from Kanban which I have stamped using Stazon black ink and then coloured the butterflies using Sakura glitter and gel pens in Red and Black. I have distressed the edge of the topper using a paler shade of red. I have added a sentiment which has also been distressed using the PanPastel red. I have added red bow and leaf with flowers and stems to the top of the card. Something a little bit different to my usual style.
