Winter Fairy

Good morning to all my crafty friends and followers

Today I am in Leeds with my Kraftyhands friends Mike and Ian to catch up and do some work too.  The journey here wasn't too bad on the M62 but I had my trust Sat Nav to get me here in one piece :)

Today's card is again using the new board by the Glitter Girls and the toppers are from Jem's Designs who have worked in collaboration for the toppers to fit the board.  This time I have used the second side of the board and hope you like what I have made.

I used white pearlescent card, holographic card and the topper.  I have glittered the panels and the fairy's wings.  I have edged the toppes with peel offs and added gems and butterflies.

Today's card is made using Mike Deakin's stamp design from Kraftyhands.  There are going to be more Christmas stamps under the name Stampography.  I hope you like this tree stamps I just love it and this is the first time I have made a card using this stamp.  It stamps like a dream and is just beautiful.

Florence Esme Moluluo

Good Morning to all my crafty friends and followers

Well this morning's post is about some fabulous news I received last night!  My youngest son and his partner gave birth to my second granddaughter.  Veli and Holly have called her Florence Esme and she was born at 6 minutes past 6 last night weighing 7 lb 15 oz.

They have a beautiful little girl called Alice Ayda who is 18 months and is the apple of my eye.  I had 2 sons so to have granddaughters is a dream come true and I am so excited too.

Below are a couple of photographs of the happy family.

Doesn't Holly look well?  My 3 beautiful girls.

Alice meeting her baby sister Florence for the first time and giving her a kiss on her fingers.

Winter Beauty

Good Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers

After doing the housework, washing and ironing I went into my craft room to do some serious crafting as I have plenty of design work to do that I need to get started on. I made 4 samples and threw them all in the bin as I wasn't happy with what I had done. I think my mojo has gone on holiday today. I sure hope it comes back tomorrow as I need to get some work done.

This is a card I made a few days ago using the Glitter Girls new board "The Big Screen". The toppers I have used were design by Jem's Designs for their new board. I have used black pearlescent card, red holographic card, border peel offs and used Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes which I have added gems to them, I have glittered the panels with iridescent glitter. To finish off I added red midget gems to the necklace and broach.

Christmas Robin

Good Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers

It is very warm here but there is a cool breeze coming through my craft room window which is lovely.  I can't believe that it is afternoon already!  I got up early while it was cool and got all the ironing done from our time away, had breakfast and then went food shopping.  Before I knew it it was midday.

Today's card is from Crafter's Companion Mulberry Wood card kit.  I just love these cute images and the cards are a dream to make.

Recipe & Method

1.  Base card is from the card kit which has an aperture which I removed.
2.  Inside the card I have added the robin pyramage and used glossy accents on the top of the pillar box.
3.  I have added a sentiment and to finish off added clear and green gems to the centre of the snowflakes.

Urban Farm Diva

Hello my crafty friends and followers

Well we arrived back safe and sound from our long weekend break to Hornsea and Alnwick.  We were very lucky with the weather and returned home to a very hot and humid Warrington.  I have done 2 washer loads of washing one lot is dry and the other is still out on the line.  Only downside now is I have a heck of a lot of ironing to do.

Welcome to all my new followers who have joined while I have been away and of course thank you everyone for visiting my blog whilst I have had a well earned break from crafting.  I am now raring to get stuck in and I have a busy 7 weeks now until I go on holiday in September.

Tonight's card is one I made before I went away but ran out of time to schedule it for today.  As you all know I am on the Design Team of Scrapbook Stamp Society and today is my turn to post a card using one of their digi's.  Today I have for you Urban Farm Diva drawn by the lovely Sherri Baldy who is the owner of Scrapbook Stamp Society.

Recipe & Method

1.  Base card is white scalloped 6 x 6.
2.  First layer is card from Boho Chic which I have adhered to the base card.
3.  The strip across the middle of the card I have again used the wood effect card from the Boho Chic and attached rust coloured ribbon and adhered to the base of the card.
4.  The image is printed onto Neenah Card which I have then cut out using Spellbinder Curved Rectangle die.
5.  I have coloured the image in using my Copics and added copper glitter to the frill of her dress.  I then used Dew Drops VersaMagic Gingerbread and stippled the edges.
6.  To finish off I have added 3 gold card candy and a pair of button boots.

Today when this posts I will be slowly making my way home from Alnwick.  I will tell you all about it in my next post.  I hope you all have a fabulous day and will catch up with you all later on today or tomorrow depending on what time I get home.

Today I have another Cross Stitch project I made about 14 years ago.  It takes pride of place over my fire place.  I can't remember which kit this is or the company but this took me 6 months to make and as you can see a lot of work has gone into this before I got it framed.

It's A Girl

Good Morning to all my crafty friends and followers

I am hoping that this scheduled post has posted!  I am away for a long weekend with my hubby, we are visiting relatives in Hornsea and then on Sunday going up to Alnwick.  Fingers crossed that the weather is dry and sunny!  Well I can wish can't I?

Today's card is using the last of my stamps which is the stork with the baby.  You can purchase this stamp over at Kraftyhands.  This was a simple card to make, it is an A6 scalloped card which I have added some gingham pink paper and stamped the image onto Neenah card and used my copics to add colour to the stork and the baby.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment "It's a Girl" and cut around the stamped area and added to the card.  To finish off I added a teddy charm, pearl flat backed gems and a paper bow.

Cute Kittens and Cute Puppies

Good Morning my dear Crafty Friends and Followers

I hope you are all well and having a good day.  Today I am showcasing a few design team samples for Kraftyhands and their new double CD Cute Kittens and Cute Puppies.  I was given mine at Doncaster and couldn't wait to get home and play.  There are some absolutely adorable kittens and puppies on this CD and there is an extra bonus of Christmas toppers too.  The paper designs are fabulous and are so versatile.

The first one of my samples is a kitten playing with a ball of wool.  The bow is made using paper which is on your design sheets and are easy to put together.  I love them.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

One Stitch at a Time #122 - Anything Goes

I love westies and this one is such a cutie.  This is part of the oval pyramage and is printed onto card which has a velvet texture to it.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

That Craft Place - Anything Goes

This is one of the bonus Christmas toppers which I have cut out and layered onto a doily which I have inked with silver ink.

Cross Stitch Lighthouse

Good Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers

Well the sun has come out here in Warrington although very windy but a nice change to grey and dismal weather.  I have got some washing out and dried and ironed, result!  I have also been making design sample cards and started to make some Christmas cards too.

Today I am showing you something that I made quite a few years ago.  Before I got seriously into papercraft I was a very serious cross stitcher and always had one on the go.  I have quite a few pieces of my work all over the house and this one is a particular favourite.  It took me about 4 months to make but the result when I had it framed was well worth the time and effort put into this.

I am sorry I can't tell you the make of the Cross Stitch company but don't you think it looks so realistic with the waves crashing against the rocks?  The sky in my opinion looks stunning too.

All these projects have been made using My Craft Studio Quintessential Country Garden CD's and Paper packs with embellishments and glitter packs

Card made from the Quintessential Card pack with embellishments

Acetate wrap card with another card attached to the acetate with embellishments

I can't remember what this type of card is but they fit snuggly inside the centre panel and you pull them out.  This can be found on the Quintessential  Country Garden CD
