1837.....

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well after yesterday's beautiful today has been a bit of a let down, fine dizzily rain here that soaks you to the skin and so dull.  Busy beavering away in my craft room today as having tomorrow off to celebrate my birthday.  They sure are coming round quickly!  I hope you have all had a good day.

Here is a card I made this afternoon, just for a bit different to demo's and Christmas cards.

Recipe

1. 6 x 6 pearlescent cream square card I have matted and layered lace effect card to the base.
2. Second layer is from Kraftyhands Man about Town CD
3. Matted and layered a cream doily (looks white!).
4. The topper is from Kraftyhands 1837 die cut set which I have layered with foam pads to give dimension.
5. To finish off I have added a flower and black and cream pearl gems.

Thank you for stopping by Today
Hugs xxxxx

What a stunning Christmas Card Linda - you have so captured the essence of a Victorian Christmas card. It oozes the elegance of the well off in that era and I love it. Have a wonderful birthday tomorrow.... hope you receive lots of crafting goodies so that we can enjoy lots more of your special cards. Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)

Wow, totally gorgeous! Can you imagine dressing like that in 1837, at a time without air conditioning, even just basic things that we take for granted...those were ladies who knew how to be beautiful just because....nice card.
