Birds flying high.................

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

While I was making this card the song by Micheal Buble was running through my mind:

"Birds flying high you know how I feel,
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel,
Reeds drifting on by, you know how I feel,
Its a new dawn, its a new day, it a new life for me,
 and I am feeling good!
I love this song :)

Here is my creation for you today.

Recipe

1. 7 x 7 cm square white pearlescent card
2. Matted and layered pink holographic card onto the base
3. The topper I made using Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw and Marigold, I then dried this with the heat gun, stamped with Versamark the large feathers around the edges and the smaller one in the centre with Sheena Douglass' Magical stamps sets, and dusted with pink and lilac mica powders from Imagination Crafts over them.  I then stamped the hawk in Archival black ink and using the bleach technique removed the colour from the bird.
4. To finish off I stamped the ticket with Versamark and dusted gold mica powder over and added to the card.

Thank you for stopping by Today
Hugs xxxxx

Gosh Linda, this card is so powerful and I think that may be created by the treatment of your Hawk - he stands out dramatically and, although you have put a lot of work into creating that lovely backing paper, it does pale into the background as the eye is mesmerised by the Hawk flying free. The sentiment is so inspirational and appropriate. This is a very memorable card Linda. Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)

Your project is so very artistic, Linda! The soft feathering of your tone on tone background is dramatic and uplifting! I just love the mood and the voice of this design! Very nicely done! I have loved "Feeling Good" since I first heard it in "The Smell of the Greasepaint, The Roar of The Crowd." Nina Simone and Jennifer Hudson both have fabulous renditions, as well! Thanks for the powerful piece and the stroll down memory lane! Thanks for dropping this beauty off by our house here at 613 Avenue Create!

Oh Linda - there is a naughty streak in you! I am now going to be 'trilling' all day with Michael!!!

I think your background to this creation is beautiful, it looks like the sun peeping through clouds. Great eagle image as well.
