Good Evening Crafty Friends,
As promised here is my post regarding my trip to Morecambe on Sunday to "A splendid day out" Steampunk Fayre.
Both Rick and I had a fabulous day out and I would advice you to pull up a chair and enjoy as there are plenty of photographs.
First up are a couple of photographs of myself in my Steampunk outfit, the hat I decorated myself but is not shown very well in the photographs. I have done a video on this and if you wish to watch then click the LINK.
These two were taken with the Midland hotel in the background, the inside of this hotel is fabulous!
This is the platform where the Steampunk fayre is held, a beautiful old building built by the Midland Railway Company as the terminus of the former "little" North Western Railway, Morecambe Promenade Station first opened to passengers in 1907. The Promenade station was built to cater for a large influx of passengers.
Of course I had to visit with Mike doesn't he look brilliant dress up too!
This is Ian who creates the most amazing machines that work with flashing lights and moving parts.
Check out his website Verne Industries.
It is such a shame about these photographs not turning out as well as I wanted but with the lighting reflecting off the camera I couldn't get as good a picture but this lady called Margaret Hesketh had the most fabulous steampunk inspired pieces. Do check out her shop over on Etsy.
Another lady I met Lisa had this amazing stand which specialises in steampunk and alternative clothing. The pith helmets are amazing as are their hats too! If you fancy a nosy at their website P n P Alternative then please visit.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my day in Morecambe!
Thank you for visiting!
