August Vlog Part 1

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,

Well I hope you have all had a good week and that you managed to get some crafting done.

Sharing with you today part 1 of August's Vlog.

As of this month I will be blogging 5 days a week 2 of those days will include links to 2 videos.
I have had to stop blogging every day as with all that is going on at home I was getting a bit stressed out especially looking after my dad too which family always comes first!

Do you ever get that feeling when you look at all your crafty goodies and you think, WOW when will I ever get the time to use everything?  Yes, that happened to me and I want to be able to spend time crafting for me and doing what I love.

Another wonderful thing that has happened is doing knitting not only for myself but for TV shows too.  It sure has come full circle for me as that is where my crafting journey started.

I hope that you do get time to watch the video and enjoy.

Would love to know what you feel about your crafting!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Knitting for Beginners

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Something a little different from me today!

I wonder how many of my crafty friends knit or have knitted in the past?

I have been knitting since I was 5 years old when my dad taught me. I can still remember that day, we were living in Malaysia and living at 69 Bloxhom Drive in a bungalow.  Isn't if funny how something that will make a difference in your life you can remember years after!

Today I am starting a new series on my You Tube channel called
Knitting for Beginners.

In the first video I talk you though the tools of the trade, i.e. knitting needles and assessories as well as tension square before I start teaching you how to cast on and knit 2 rows in stocking stitch.

I hope you enjoy, this is something apart from my paper/mixed media crafting I am very passionate about.

More Good News

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,

Some more exciting news to share with you today.

Did you manage to catch the Deramores Knitting and Crochet show on Create and Craft this morning?

I am so chuffed that I was asked by Sue to become part of their knitting sample maker team.

As you know I have been knitting for over 50 years now and still enjoy it today as I did when I started at the age of 5.

Below are just a few of my samples, I part knitted some of the Deradogs which were so easy to knit, a cushion cover and some sample squares with the chunky yarn.

I must say that the yarn is so soft and beautiful to use too.

Chunky Cushion Cover

Pug

Poodle

Rottweiler
