Unicorn Girl

Good Morning Friends,

Don't know where this week has gone but it sure has got to Wednesday real quick.

 I am going to spend the day in the craft room creating with my new stamps and dies.
Whatever your plans are have fun and stay safe.

Sharing a new card using another of the digi kits from The Paper Shelter, this is called Glittery and Sparkly. I do love these images.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered yellow and green card.
3. Printed out the backing paper design and the image.
4. Matted and layered onto pink card and decoupaged the image.
5. To finish off added gold stars around the image and gold gems on 2 of the corners.

Card making for Beginners - my top 10 basic tools

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all today?

A trip to the shops this morning to do my dads and our shopping then a quick visit to see my dad to catch up and deliver his shopping.

What are your plans?

As you know I have been card making now for well over 20 years and with what has been happening all over the world with this Covid virus a lot of people having been turning to craft.

This video is aimed at new card makers and I hope it helps in some small way.

Sheena's Carnation

Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope that you all have had a wonderful weekend.

After our walk this morning I will be putting the scan and cut through its paces cutting out a load of flowers from the Floral Decoupage Delights USB, then putting them together to make a card.

Another card to share using Sheena's Flowers of the World and Pigment Inks. Today I have used the Carnation stamp and die set.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black and pink patterned card.
3. Die cut the tag using very pale blue pearlescent card and added pink organza ribbon to the top.
4. Stamped the carnation, die cut then watercoloured with pigment inks.
5. To finish off stamped and watercoloured the dragonfly before die cutting.

Joy to the World

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a good weekend.

It is Sunday and that means sharing another Christmas Card.

I have used Stephanie Weightmans Christmas Wrapped Up collection.


Step by Step

1. Snow globe base card.
2. Matted and layered patterned card and the deer inside the globe.
3. Added acetate to the apeture.
4. Adhered the polar bear and the sentiment to the front of the globe.
5. To finish off decorated around the globe with berries.

Paint Chip Challenge July 2020

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all doing?  
Do you have any plans to craft this weekend?

I will be colouring the next lesson for Ink Lily and will be doing some one stroke painting roses.
The new USB with Mel Heaton teaching the Scan and Cut has arrived and I will be watching and playing on Sunday.

Today's card is made for the Paint Chip Challenge, the leader is my very good friend NanaConnie.
There is a Must do list and we have an additional 3 items from the Can Do items.

This month they are as follows:

Must Do
1. Monochromatic
2. Make sentiment the focus, it can be die cut, stamped(digi or rubber) typed/computer font or hand written.
3. Use Paint Chips, I have been unable to get these so created my own.
4. Use patterned paper in the background.

Can do items are:

Use a Die Cut
Use your Favourite Colour
Use Summer Friuts

Here is my samples

I have used the following

Paint Chip scraps in Teal (my second favourite colour)
Thanks sentiment Die Cut
Background paper from stash with die cut leaves
Used scraps of paint chip to punch out dragonflies and coloured flowers to match.


I really enjoyed creating this card.

Bluebird and Kitten

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I had a busy morning yesterday, food shopping for my dad and us.

My dad was in good spirits and doing really well.
Not sure what I will be doing today, might do a bit of reading and possibly some knitting.

Today's card is made using LOTV topper called Bluebird and Kitten.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 square white base card.
2. Matted and layered black and patterned pink card.
3. Printed out image and die cut using oval die, distressed around the edges with Sheena's ink pad.
4. Wrapped pink ribbon around both layers and made a double bow.
5. To finish off added flowers around the topper with pearl gems and one on the centre of the bow.

Sheena's Orchid

Good Morning Friends,

Hope you all had a good weekend.

I had a busy but enjoyable weekend, managed to get my videos done and this week I will be taking a trip to the post office to post the prizes to my blog and you tube candy, shopping and card making.
Whatever your plans have a fabulous week!

Today sharing another card using Sheena's World of Flowers die and stamp set, for this card I have used the Orchid.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered black card.
3. I stamped the corners, flowers and word Orchid with Sheena's Jet ink pad onto white Willow card.
4. Coloured the orchid with Sheena's Pigment inks and outlined with Ink Lily grey marker.
5. to finish off I die cute the corners and edged with card with pink pen.

Christmas Trees - CCC #14

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Hope that you are all well and managing to get some crafting done.

I have been enjoying my time in the craft room this week.

Today sharing a Christmas card, for the Christmas Card Club #14, the theme was chosen by Shaz. I am pleased to say that I am keeping on top of them at the moment and going to be posting a Christmas card every Sunday this month.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered gold and green card.
3. Created the topper by first using Sheena's ink pads and then stamping the trees with Versafine.
4. I then used Gouache for the clouds and snow.
5. To finish off stamped the sentiment.

Kitty Acrobatics

My Slimming World Zoom meeting this morning and then I have DT work to finish off.

Today's card I have used The Paper Shelter Kitty Acrobatics paper and decoupaged the image.

Flowers in a Jar

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Pinch and a punch for the first day of the Month!

I have a busy couple of days coming up this week doing lots of secret DT samples which is just how I like it!

Today sharing a new card using Sheena's Flowers of the World stamp and die set. I have used Carnation and the dragonfly from the Iris set.


Step by Step

1. A5 white scalloped edge base card.
2. Matted and layered Kraft and yellow card.
3. Stamped the image onto Willow watercolour card and used Sheena's Pigment inks to colour the image.
4. I added the small tag with a brad before matting and layering onto the card.
5. To finish off stamped and die cut the dragonfly and watercoloured.

Christmas in June Day 7

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well here we are the last in my Christmas Cards in June series.
Thank you for visiting and your lovely comment! I do appreciate them all.

I have decided that going forward Sunday's are going to be my Christmas card days.
After buying cards the last 2 years I decided to join the Christmas Card Club where we post once a fortnight on Sunday's so I am going to continue with Christmas cards now until the end of the year!
Hopefully I will have enough that I don't have to go and buy any!

I have again created a Z fold card using Stephanie Weightman's Christmas All Wrapped Up Signature collection.


Step by Step

1. Z Fold card created using Cream Pearlescent card.
2. Matted and layered gold and patterned charisma paper from USB on inside and side panel of card.
3. Matted and layered gold card and wrapped cream ribbon around the smaller Z fold panel.
4. Matted and layered the topper from the card kit onto gold and cram card.
5. Printed the floral spray from the USB and die cut with corresponding die.
6. To finish off added the red gems and sentiment.

Christmas in June Day 6

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I hope you are all having a good weekend.

I have been a bit busy so far, yesterday I did some baking, cheesecake, lemon cupcakes and some mini quiches.  Today going to be getting the scan and cut out to familiarise myself on how to use and what all the buttons are for!

Today's card is using another Hunkydory Topper.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered red stripped card, silver mirri card and green patterned card.
3. Matted and layered topper with foam pads.
4. Stamped the sentiment with Sheena Jet black ink.
5. To finish off added red pearl gems around the topper.
